Hello guys Im going to start calling a list to try to get appointments for final expense... Now this will be a targeted list of seniors ages 60-75 with incomes of 15k-40k.

Let me know what you guys think about this script:

Hello Mrs. Jones my name is ______ Im calling from the senior care program, we recently sent you a card stating you qualify for our final expense insurance program to help cover up to 100% of funeral and other final expenses you wouldn't want to leave behind to your family...
( I never actually sent them a card but I figure they get this type of stuff all the time, so I'm using it to my advantage)

Did you receive this card?
(if they say yes or no I will say)

Ok well I see we haven't received this card back from you requesting this free information you qualify for.

I will actually be in your neighborhood tomorrow helping folks who did request the information... If you have 10 min of your time I can stop by tomorrow and help you too!
(DON'T WAIT FOR AN ANSWER )
Do you prefer the mornings or afternoon?
(depending on what they prefer I will offer them a scheduled time)

Great! well I have 3pm and 5pm which is more convenient?

Ok, so can I count on you to be there tomorrow at __pm?
(most likely they will say yes)

Great! So let me just confirm your address as ________ is this correct?

Great I will see you tomorrow at _pm Mrs Jones... Have a great
day!

This is the basic script I will follow let me know what what you think and I'll keep you posted on how I'm doing :)

I imagine that asking "Did you receive the card" will lead you to a lot of "No i didnt and im not interested" responses. Im brand new to this so dont take it as gospel.

You're not far off. The goal of cold calling is to find interest and generate conversations. Yes/no questions don't usually lend themselves to it.

I'd imagine this script works because every senior receives multiple cards weekly.

You guys definitely have a point that they get them all the time.

I would be curious, since we're assuming in this case they received the card, how it would go assuming they responded....

"Hey this is Ron with xyz company, we received your card requesting more info on our senior final expense plans. Im the guy that handles that in your area and need 10mins to go over the info with you. I have tomorrow around 10 open, does that work?"

bring a sample card along with you to the appointment to jog their memory.
Wonder if this approach has been used...

There may be many agents using such a script to cold call. But the op asked about the success of the process. So far there have been no answers to the question of success.

I would surmise there is a reason for that.
