How can these federal employees help out in a state regulated industry? The problem is with the NCDOI and their slow walking everything. Wasting 3 years to "rehabilitate" these obviously bankrupt companies was the first huge mistake.
Is it possible that lindberg and his spokesliar susan estrich can just shut up, these companies are not fine and lindberg is not going to sell them to himself for $307MM. May he rot in fed prison forvever.

So it sounds like no one on this forum has signed up with a law firm to attempt to sue the financial advisor that sold you these annuities? I am seeing more and more law firms on line claiming that they can specifically help CB Life victims on a contingency basis, i.e. no money until the case is won. If we knew that someone actually succeeded in suing their negligent financial advisor or firm, we would try to go this route.

What would one have to lose in this case? You are not suing to recover your annuity funds, you are suing for damages (i.e. new money).

If your advisor lied to you, used the guarantee association as a carrot, or any other inducement, then sure. Sue away.

If you have other investments with your advisor, review your documents. You may have agreed to binding arbitration and can't sue (you can still get a favorable judgment, however).

Insurance agents and financial advisors have errors and omissions insurance so you can sometimes get a settlement.

If you just bought the annuity and the company went out of business, you have no case.

You can't have a windfall lawsuit so I would be shocked if anyone "won" before this is settled.

At least the delay is only 2 months, not 2 years like I expect it to be. Sure trial starts July 3, when July 4 holiday is next day. Situation hopeless.

I’m so confused by all these trials and dates and appeals.... (obviously that’s the point)

Is this the same matter regarding the appeal he made in January 2023 regarding the order of liquidation of Colorado Bankers Life?
Or is this a different (criminal) trial??
Or??
