Leaving notices without your contact phone number might not be obnoxious, but it's sort of bewildering to your prospects (I would imagine).
If someone kept leaving notices on my door without a phone number, I'm not going to be happy about it.

What you are delivering is the "the final wish book/memorial guide" or what ever yours says. I was in the nieghborhood and was dropping off your copy of the memorial guide. It is important to have the guide, that is the purpose for the notice.
