I've had some problems on the phone with Coventry, don't get me wrong. By and by they have all been worked out. I found out through many hours of frustration it is better to call customer service dept rather than broker support. Some cases I emailed my FMO to follow up with their contact at Coventry and it went smooth with those opposed to me trying to deal with them directly. It makes me wonder if it matters who your FMO is.

I have been paid all my commissions up to date as well. I was getting big advance checks from Coventry right after Thanksgiving and up to Christmas when the other carriers had not paid me yet. That said, now I am figuring how many apps I have to sell before 3-31 to break even with them after this last round of commission releases. I find out now I owe them $2 for every PDP and $25 for every MAPD that they have already paid me for. Definately their broker services department is slammed and sometimes their reps are down right incompetent, but over all they are still the best MA carrier in my area. And, I will be ok with breaking even and then some because of all the referrals I am getting from those that let Humana roll them on to their PPO plan eff 1-1. Most of the doctor's here either don't take it or are asking them for $135 up front to see them the first time. So glad I stopped writing Humana two years ago.
