Early Breaking News Aetna Commissions

Actually, at 2%, but why do you care?
Wait, there is a bonus for the first app.... An additional 2%. Now, you have to go write it!!!!

Dan

If you are not writing 50 apps a year, what are you doing in the ind health insurance market??

I figured as much. For me, the most efficient use of my time is to limit myself to the best 2 carriers, and know their product, underwriting, etc inside and out.

That's not the point. Many agents write 100 cases but through 3 carriers.

Correct.

In FL, I write Cigna/Humana/UHC.

I don't write Blue Cross, even though I could "ghost write" under another broker, but ehhh it's not worth it to me.

Aetna is not competitive in FL, thought there may be 1-2 zip codes where they are, ya never know.

Reliable sources.
And for those who haven't written Aetna in the past, here in Philly area, Aetna has been stellar.

I just got confirmation of this...This sucks pretty bad. Renewals are going to 4% year 2 and 3% year 3. Business wrote between 9/1 and 12/31 will be 8%.

Looks like business will be going Blue, here in PA..
