I routinely get a large walk in traffic of Seniors with ESRD in which they are immediately rejected by my Medicare Advantage Insurance Companies?

Would they qualify during the guaranteed enrollment period?

Are there any programs or Supplements that I can offer and still make money doing that?

Thanks n Advance.

I believe you are referring to "Open Enrollment" as opposed to "guaranteed enrollment". Open Enrollment is the first six months following the effective date of Medicare Part B. During this time a person cannot be denied a Med Supp because of health reasons including ESRD.

United World, a MOO company, offers Med Supp policies to those under age 65 who are on Medicare in California. MOO also has the new or Modernized Plan N that is 100% Guaranteed Issue in California.

Right now, anyone, at any time, if they are on Medicare regardless of their age or their health, including ESRD, can take a Plan N and not have to answer health questions.

Yes you can make money selling Plan N. In California United World pays the agent 3% more commission for selling a Plan N than they pay for the other plans that are offered.

If you would like to discuss it further please give me a call.

I assume the client would only benefit from this supplement only if he didn't have Medicaid, since many of the benefits are redundant.

Would you have a phone number for United World. Google search brings up MOO's confusing website.

Thanks

Hi Frank,
Do you mean ANY company will offer the Plan N with no health questions or just MOO.
Situation is a potential client enrolled AARP MAPD here in Fla in December (age in). (7 months since enrolled)
Finds out yesterday he has a melanoma in his nasal passage.

Bottom line is most of the good cancer treatment docs being recommended are out of network of the RPPO.
Would this guy be able to sign for an N with any company and have preexisiting conditions covered immediately?
Or do you mean he could get guaranteed issue but still have PRE-EX waiting period issues?
Thanks a lot,

ESRD is always a knock out for Medicare Advantage UNLESS they are coming off of a group plan, and even then it's not always the case.

You should sell them some GI WL with Presidential or get some annuity money out of them.

MOO is the only company that is offering Plan as either GI or "almost" GI. In Florida their app has only one question on it. It the ESRD question. His cancer will not prevent him from getting the policy.

Since it has been seven months the person is beyond the Open Enrollment period. MOO I believe does not have a waiting period on pre-existing conditions. It would be a good idea for you to call MOO and ask underwriting. Sometimes things like that may vary from state to state. That will "cover your ass".

Give me a call if you like.

Thanks very much for your response. I will call MOO and let you know what happens. Will be tomorrow before can.
Thanks Again!
This forum and most of the people on here ROCKS!

As I've been looking into this topic I've found out that through blessing of Medicare several companies have initiated test projects to study feasibility of MA & ESRD to improve public health services.

Example, Scan Health Care has partnered up with Da Vita and currently is accepting MA Beneficiaries with ESRD. So far, Medicare is happy with the results.

Demonstration plans and standard MA plans are two very different critters. What are you basing your statement that "Medicare is happy with the results" on?
