EV Takes 4 Days to Charge

Explain what you think these "subsidies" are and how much they are. But before you do, consider that what you said is false. Because it is.

apx $20 billion a year in direct subsidies to oil/gas/coal.

Not counting the indirect subsidies... such as huge tax breaks for investors in exploration LLPs, etc.

The renewable energy sector now gets more in subsidies than fossil fuels. But most of that is going to solar/wind/cars. Not chargers.

You are quoting the wrong person. I am simply talking about the reality of today and tomorrow not someday. In the number one EV state in the US. By a margin.

Make an EV close to the same reliability, convenience, and cost as my tried and true ICE and I would search out and by one as my primary. Not have to be Told to do it or else. By the shepherd. I am no really a flock type.

Who is forcing you? Buy an ICE car if thats what you want. Maybe it wont be new off the lot, but there are millions of choices out there.

Same as seatbelts. They enacted laws to make new cars have seatbelts. Dont want a seatbelt in your car? Then buy a used car without one.

Government is going to do what keeps its citizens alive and healthy the longest. This is just an extension of seatbelts, airbags, safety ratings, etc. Only its for your long term health.... and the health of those around you. Same with smoking bans in public.

And again, you assume everyone needs to charge every day. It takes me a week to drive 300 miles. That means I would charge once per week at my home. Maybe twice if we go to the mountains hiking a couple days.

I just dont agree with your analysis of the issue in general terms for the average person.

You personally, you need an ICE or Hybrid because you are a road warrior. If all you did was drive around town, an EV would be fine for you.

OK sitting outside tool store waiting for it to open.

Not a single EV in sight. A grip of devil ICEs with blue collar types.

A quick search- I know, it is Wikipedia-

I stopped by AceHardware yesterday, saw two teslas and a polestar all in a row. Kind of funny to see them sitting beside a huge F350 turbo diesel.

For someone hauling loads or driving a lot. EVs are not practical yet. I agree. Im sure we have all seen the F150 lightning failing to pull a boat.

You have much more trust in government than I do. Question - did you trust Trump government the same as Biden government? Dude, they change.

Big brother knows what is best for you. It takes a village to raise a child. Who's village?

Who is forcing me?
Really?

Tax them into submission.

I am reminded of the Borg
