EV Takes 4 Days to Charge

Ever tried pumping gas during a power failure? lol
Yes.
I lived through Irma and now Ian. Now power for over a week. The gasoline I had stored in these things called gas cans went right into my car's gas tank and I was able to drive somewhere to get food and more gas.

Ever try to store electricity generated from nat gas and coal? Not real easy and the storage devices cost a lot and cause all sorts of issues with disposal and manufacturing.

The market has spoken. Fossil fuels win. Electricity for powering cars is a dumb idea until the relative costs are close to being in line and the ranges of the vehicles are comparable and the infrastructure is available to charge the dumb things.

EVs are a government created solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Just another way to extract the wealth of the nation and siphon off large portions of it.

Tomorrow, going to Solvang, no clue if there are chargers, for breakfast. Then going where the gell my adult ass choices with not F it there are chargers.

OK, spent a day in Solvang. Think Santa Barbara. Money Money Money. Many High end cars and large new trucks. I did not see one charger. Very few Teslas. These rich California liberals do not believe. At least not for themselves.

Back at my hotel I asked about chargers. They have two, one Tesla and one "other". Something like 200 rooms.

The infrastructure is not even a dream here. Maybe different where you all live.

What do you see in your area?

That's odd, because you just named two hurricanes, so obviously there are problems which switching away from fossil fuels may partially reduce.

Which problems may be reduced? The hurricane's certainly will not be since the number and strength of storms has not changed in recorded history.

I do know that lots of problems will arise from the use of more unreliable, expensive and less available energy. Things like death and poverty come to mind, Perhaps too starvation since CO2 is plant food and makes what we eat grow better and with less need for water. So hopefully a very minor, trace gas we add tot he atmosphere is a net benefit for us besides being a byproduct of enriching the globe.

Yet this is what they said 2 years ago right, they will nudge the prices higer and higher for gas and meat till we cant afford them anymore and by 2030 gas will be a thing of the past and meat will be a rare treat

Just like the dark ages when we were serfs and they were nobility.
