Facebook Ad

So I'm running a Facebook ad for Final Expense that I started on 3/5 to run for 15 days. I set a total budget of $50. So far I've reached 1183 and received 13 clicks, but no "leads." My audience is big enough at 91,000, so Facebook says, based on the areas I "dropped the pin." Is my budget too low for Facebook to present the ad enough? Thoughts?

FB algorithms seem to change hourly. Pretty sure the ad folks at FB have severe ADD. Just when you learn the answer they change the questions.

If you are going to advertise on FB you really need to understand the marketing philosophy. Unlike search engine advertising, most folks are on FB to check on the grandkids, see who was hot in high school but now can't even get a blind date, and argue politics.

They aren't there to buy, but if they do buy it is mostly an emotional reaction to an ad where they see it and buy it. My guess would be most folks who click on an FE ad are either your competitors trying to figure out what you are doing or they are short timers.

YMMV

Any meaningful response will fall into one of two groups.

1. Try to sell you their FB ads course
2. Try to sell you FB leads

Anyone who has spent the time and money to truly learn FB ads is unlikely to just give it all away.

Learn how to make $500 per day by placing small classified ads. Secret revealed, only $25.

What is the secret?

When you send in your $25 the "kit" tells you to place the following ad.

You might as well try to sell insurance on Craigslist for all the good Facebook will do you.

Craigslist is free, there are insurance agents selling on Craigslist so I imagine the insurance buying public might look there, too.

I blew thru about 50K in ten months on facebook ads. Everything is about Click Thru Rate. If you can get 1% then you are considered good as far as FB standards. Your audience is a bit big and your budget is way to small. It's not something you can dabble in and make money. You have to go all the way. At one point we were getting like 400 leads per month but then like 6 months before election time noticed a giant drop off in leads. I think facebook has more or less run its course as usership and viewership are going down. Social media replicates like a germination cycle eventually it blows up. The younger generation is not adopting and thus it will be gone in a couple of years of massively different.

Where ever the trendsetters go the money will go. As far as FE. Older people who qualify for FE may not trust a FB ad enough to click on it and submit info. I'd experiment and split testing.
