That's pretty close to acurate. Oh, and I work 50-85 daily without over thinking it.

The TV leads are $34 each and are REAL FE TV leads. The TV leads that are advertised for $10-$20 are watered down TV commercials. A prospect calls a generic TV commercial that's not even talking about burial expenses, etc. The operator asks the caller if they want info on things like electric wheel chairs, knee braces, diabetic socks/shoes, final expense, etc. I worked those leads last year and I can definitely see the difference in the closing %.
As everyone with experience in this arena knows, you get what you pay for with FE leads (assuming your upline is not recycling leads to unsuspecting agents). I don't ever touch my agents' leads. The leads come directly from the carrier's lead dept. not me. Besides they have the deep pockets and do all the lead generating so I an focus on helping my agents become better at their craft.
That's not true, Greg.
It is 50% cheaper to reach 1,000 people via TV Advertising verses direct mail. Maybe SL TV leads are more expensive because they're real time.
You could be correct. But if TV leads are 50% cheaper than DM per 1000 prospects reached, why aren't all the FE agencies/co.'s running commercials instead of doing DM drops??

We've worked hundreds of thousands of TV leads over the years from the watered down ones, to the real ones, to creating our spots and buying the airtime.
Nothing beats a TV lead that comes through without any incentive. Not even DM, in my opinion.
It is also true that your cost per 1000 is cheaper on TV, but your response rate may not always be as high as DM. TV is much more complicated than looking up a certain demo and mailing to them. Its also impossible to be an indy agent and successfully run a TV campaign, however.
Nevertheless, for whatever reason, indy agents have always had a tough time in most of GA and there are a couple of heavy hitter final expense telesales agents that I know of that are in Atlanta.
I wonder if the TV show the people were watching when they responded would also be an indicator of the quality of the lead?
Lead responders from: Jerry Springer, Judge Judy, Jeopardy, Fox News, the Steve Harvey Show, etc. Are they all equal? Can you fine tune them to that degree?
Just curious?
Your prospects are watching Fox??
