FE AGENT IN GEORGIA STRUGGLING NEED HELP PLEASE

The TV leads are $34 each and are REAL FE TV leads. The TV leads that are advertised for $10-$20 are watered down TV commercials. A prospect calls a generic TV commercial that's not even talking about burial expenses, etc. The operator asks the caller if they want info on things like electric wheel chairs, knee braces, diabetic socks/shoes, final expense, etc. I worked those leads last year and I can definitely see the difference in the closing %.

As everyone with experience in this arena knows, you get what you pay for with FE leads (assuming your upline is not recycling leads to unsuspecting agents). I don't ever touch my agents' leads. The leads come directly from the carrier's lead dept. not me. Besides they have the deep pockets and do all the lead generating so I an focus on helping my agents become better at their craft.

That's not true, Greg.

It is 50% cheaper to reach 1,000 people via TV Advertising verses direct mail. Maybe SL TV leads are more expensive because they're real time.

You could be correct. But if TV leads are 50% cheaper than DM per 1000 prospects reached, why aren't all the FE agencies/co.'s running commercials instead of doing DM drops??

Unfortunately, Broker4ACoupleDays is known for his inaccurate information and misleading posts. You, me, and pretty much anyone in the FE industry knows that a quality TV lead costs more to generate, or at least around the same, as a decent quality Direct Mail lead.

Apparently Mr Misinformation is buying those form leads that you get from people calling in about diabetic information. When they are asked if they don't mind getting information about Final Expense, they say yes and wallah, there is his cheap lead.

While I rarely agree with Greg, he is spot on here. Cheap TV leads for FE are generated with a generic ad and then when on the phone they ask if they want information about FE and numerous other products. Besides the fact that they were not initially responding to an FE ad, many simply start saying yes because why not, and two they are just trying to get off the phone.

Sure, they can be sold, but to claim it is the same as a pure FE TV lead is completely false.

We've worked hundreds of thousands of TV leads over the years from the watered down ones, to the real ones, to creating our spots and buying the airtime.

Nothing beats a TV lead that comes through without any incentive. Not even DM, in my opinion.

It is also true that your cost per 1000 is cheaper on TV, but your response rate may not always be as high as DM. TV is much more complicated than looking up a certain demo and mailing to them. Its also impossible to be an indy agent and successfully run a TV campaign, however.

Nevertheless, for whatever reason, indy agents have always had a tough time in most of GA and there are a couple of heavy hitter final expense telesales agents that I know of that are in Atlanta.

I wonder if the TV show the people were watching when they responded would also be an indicator of the quality of the lead?

Lead responders from: Jerry Springer, Judge Judy, Jeopardy, Fox News, the Steve Harvey Show, etc. Are they all equal? Can you fine tune them to that degree?

Just curious?

Your prospects are watching Fox??

For what it's worth, when things were good in the home improvement industry, TV leads were at least $150 a pop. TV commercials are expensive, can't see how TV leads and DM leads could be anywhere nears in price.:nah:
