Fex Contracting or the Insurance Squad

Senior Life is an amazing company. They have awesome rates on some products. They have superior lead generation. They utilize technology in ways others wish they could. I agree!

But - they suck on requiring the cheesy LA stuff to earn the higher commissions and renewals. That product isn't regulated and may or may not be around when someone dies and needs it in future years. I understand your feelings. But it sure improves the persistency....which is long term wealth! Think about this.....Some people pre-pay for their entire funeral and then a few years later the funeral home goes out of business! At least the Legacy membership is ONLY $3 per month....which equates to very, very low risk exposure to Legacy going out of business, especially when compared side by side to the exposure of the funeral home going out of business where you'd lose maybe $8k to $12k if you pre-paid!

But - they have a very restrictive non-compete and non-solicit in their contract. No way an agent that organically creates their own leads and recruits their own agents could sign that in good faith. I signed it with no problem. This is the best final expense opportunity out there and I'm not someone who hops around from company to company. There's no reason for me to go anywhere else. But to each their own. Some like blonds, some like brunettes, and some like red heads...lol.

But - if someone doesn't write new business within 30 to 60 days - they could be terminated with cause. It's now 90 days of zero production. Why would an agent even get appointed with ANY carrier if they are not even going to write one app every 90 days?

But - depending on the Manager - an Agent may not be fully vested for a year or two. You're right. Some mgr.'s give immediate vesting and some have a waiting period for vesting. The mgr.s that have the waiting period for vesting are actually off setting potential sub-agent debt roll up. That way it's real easy to give someone immediate release if that's what an agent wanted....no fake 6 month waiting period of zero production in order to be released.

One Life - has none of the issues above. Are you saying One Life does NOT have the following which you quoted above: Senior Life is an amazing company. They have awesome rates on some products. They have superior lead generation. They utilize technology in ways others wish they could.

On the career side - you can get leads fronted - but, your commission is less. Greg can get leads fronted with NO reduction in commission! How about TV leads just 2 min old? Or DM leads that are very directly worded and even say on them "Not affiliated with or endorsed by the US Government, Federal Medicare Program, nor any state agency. Returned card requests free info about life insurance underwritten by Senior Life Insurance Company, Thomasville, Ga." Who else has FE leads so directly worded, filtered by income and age, no PO Boxes, and only charges $25 (most states)?

On the broker side - they are a powerful IMO with above street contracts. Greg can also get above street contracts! I can even have your charge backs come out of your pay thru rather than your advances!

Plus - they have Medicare, Annuity and Supplemental contracts too. Greg only does Final Expense. I don't want to be the jack of all trades and the master of none. I'm not sure, but I believe the medicare, annuity, and supplemental insurance would be customer service intensive, I'll make more $$$ being sales intensive, but I'm only guessing. Customer service time shrinks your selling time, right?

Plenty of other differences - save that for another day.

Plenty of differences is right. I'm always happy to lay out the opportunity I can provide along side anyone up here. SL is not perfect, and a carrier may be better in one thing or another, but SL has the best TOTAL package!

I have no more comments about this, I have to get back to more productive things, you guys dissect it apart if you wish.
