We prequalify every lead, and every lead is asked if they have a checking or savings account. Its not the words, its how you say it, and when you say it.

It should be the last qualifying question, and it should sound exactly the same as everything else in the script, no change in voice inflection.

"Now Mary, as you know many insurance companies do credit checks to determine eligibility, but we do not, we simply go by the honors system. So, with a simple yes or no, do you have a checking or savings account at a local bank or credit union?"

Damn brother, it was my 2nd qualifying question, no wonder I was getting that response, I was trying to get of the phone fast if they had no account.

The key to individual telesales is not to be telesales. In other words don't sound like you are in a cubicle with a headset on reading the same script you just read to another person, you already can not remember. Be conversational. All IMohsoHO
