Final Expense Telesales

Rick, thanks for this--everybody has an opinion (and we all know the cliche' about a**holes and opinions as well) as to how long you need to "pay your dues" before you can sell over the phone. I'm not a teenager just starting out. I have years of experience and success selling face to face and on the phone. I'm just trying to determine if the incomes can be compared is all. I'm not a shortcutter either. If you don't have any experience good or bad to share about the topic then don't.

You know, if you only want people to validate your opinions, it is a lot easier to just talk with the mirror.

You asked for opinions and advice and you got them. Don't get upset because they don't all agree with your preconceived notions.

I thought I did relay my experience regarding selling over the phone. But let me send you a PM next time to get your permission to express my opinion on this topic.

Lastly, why would you think my response was simply for your sake and not others who are indeed trying to find the easy way out?

Rick

I second Vol and Rick. I do the majority of my work on the phone. But without first doing a lot of F2F Insurance Sales I think it would have been tough to make any consistent money.

So in my opinion you need to add Insurance Sales experience to "" I realize this will also be based on leads, pay structure, etc., ..."" But then, what do we know.

Lincoln Heritage would be your best bet. Rock On!

I'm fairly new in FE and trying to get feedback about FE Telesales as it's also new to me--just trying to gather as much information from you experts on here as to what a realistic weekly income is for someone with a good work ethic and a solid sales & marketing background. I realize this will also be based on leads, pay structure, etc., hence the next question...

What are the strongest FE Telesales companies to work for in every category (leads, pay, training, etc.)??

Much appreciated--

I see FE telesales as a failed proposition except for the marketers. They make plenty of money off the back of the telemarketer before they wash out.

There is only one telesales agent that posts here and claims to be successful at it. He also recruits for telesales. I would guess that he is successful at it, but he will never give his numbers, so success is in the mind.

In order to do even $150,000 per year in FE production by telemarketing you would spend close to $50,000 in leads. Then you have your chargebacks and not takens. That number will be much, much higher with telesales than face to face.

The companies that promote telemarketing run agents through like a puppy mill. It is just not a viable long term opportunity for the FE agent. Except for this one guy.:D:D

Well Rick, that's simple. Because you attacked me directly.

Point taken. No preconceived notions here. Just the hunger for knowledge from all you experts.

Well while I agree that telesales can be a rut to get caught in. I think there is a solution for sales people in the FE industry.

I've done plenty of driving and f2f sales in different markets but there is a way to be successful with telesales, you just have to do it right ;)

Ok, I'll bite liquid...
What are all those dummies doing wrong, glass?
What clear as liquidglass solution have you found, another X-mas miracle?:skeptical:

Making $3000 per week in Final Expense telesales is attainable, but you need the budget to buy enough leads. Then you have to take into consideration that you are getting a 9mo advance. So you need to place $4000 in premium every week in the first nine months and that is at a 100% contract.

I'd say don't expect to net $3000 per week until you can afford $800 per week in leads. But, by month ten the as-earned will kick in and then in month 13 you'll also start to get renewals, that's when $3000/week becomes realistic. Final Expense should be viewed as a multi-year income.

The most successful agents we have are ones that had some insurance sales experience and some phone sales experience of non-insurance products or service. Too much insurance experience and they want to tell us how they used to do it.

If I was going to sell over the phone, I would sell other life insurance products that are not geared towards seniors. I'm sure younger people are more apt to buying via a website, then follow up call. Seniors just are not as trusting with their info.

Good stuff--thanks, this is the kind of info. I was looking for...
