Finding Square Footage?

Or.... If you went to school and learned Geometry. Up here in ND, we learn that in about 7th grade. :)

Then you might be able to figure out the square footage of house that juts in and out. Just "Break It Down" into little squares or in a break-dance, whichever way you prefer... than just add up all the little squares/dance moves.

ahhh! i just posted on another thread not to trust TruZillTor (trulia, zillow, realtor.com, etc) for things like sqft.

they are notoriously inaccurate (though they do the best they can). as a former RE agent, i highly recommend linking up with one in your area that can help you with requests like this. obviously, they would want you to send them business too. :)

otherwise, your local recorder's office or getting a "contractor" account with your area's multiple listing service (has access to tax/recorder data) is really the only way to go.

Since Zillow pulls data from tax records as well, why pay for it? Alternatively, take a tape measure out and go for it.

It's all about keeping the overhead low.
