First Set of DM Leads

I appreciate the encouragement, guys. I'm not new to the insurance business, only the final expense insurance business. I've used leads for mortgage protection for years now and have worked for debit companies as well. With both mortgage protection and final expense it sure would be nice to not have to avoid mentioning life insurance....seems like everyone thinks they have plenty of life insurance and you have to call it "final expense coverage" or "mortgage protection". Looks like 4 of the 7 leads that I've received so far are single men which I find to be harder to sell. Hopefully more than 7 leads will come in off 1000 mailers!

No Mildred this isn't life insurance...this is for your burial, it's called find expense protection:GEEK:

I don't buy them, but I'm sure you can filter the leads for female only. Seems like I read that Toby said he did that.

Tell that one lady that you went back to the office (that's us) and you're required to deliver the information regardless of what they do with it.

You paid for the lead. They sent it in. Get your money's worth out of it. If I see they're not going to let me in the home, I want to make them feel uncomfortable about it. At least that way they won't send in another card.

When I go into an appointment/potential client's home and sit down, my first sentence, is, "So Mr Jones, I speak with folks every day about their buriel/death insurance, and final expense life insurance, and I know there is only going to be 1 of 3 reasons that you would speak with me about life insurance".

YEP, I mention life insurance 2X, in the first minute of conversation

I only mention this because there is something about what you are writing here that reminds me of when I first started selling FE!

I'm the same way. Mention it right up front. But they know why we're there.

I sent a picture to our group yesterday for my 4:30 appointment. She had a not on the table. When got up to go get her policy I snapped a picture.

It read; "ins man-4:30".

Note to herself that I was coming. I didn't mention life ins on the phone when I scheduled the appointment.

I feel them out a little, most of the time I mention life insurance programs. Some people want life insurance and others want burial coverage.

10-4.

I've done this long enough that I see no need in wasting time.

They are interested or not. If not, time to find a real prospect.

I am here about life insurance or burial insurance. No Mildred, for the fifth time, it's not free and not paid for by the government. What are you doing for your final expenses right now?
