Follow-up After Front Door Encounter

So, here is my question. I stop by, knock on the door, they answer and say it's not a good time, give me your card, my wife isn't home, blah, blah, blah. Do you normally just stop by again if they don't answer your call?

I have worked several leads in the past where I stop by again and it works sometimes, but sometimes I feel like they feel like I am a stalker.

Thoughts? How do you follow up after a face to face encounter at the door?

Be super understanding & agree with their objection. Tell them you don't come out to the _______ area too often but you can come back tomorrow at 10 orrrrrr 3:30 which one works better for ya? (Act like you're looking at your schedule on your phone).

If they object again they're not interested. Toss the lead & go to the next one.

Yeah, stop by again. Tell them you were "worried about them, since you couldnt catch them on the phone." This will make them think for a moment youre not a stalker salesman, but rather a genuine nice guy (maybe lol). Or, just assume that stopping by is the only way to catch them, since that's what worked the first time. Either way, dont worry about the stalker mindset, unless they call you a stalker haha.

Yeah, stop by again. Tell them you were "worried about them, since you couldnt catch them on the phone." This will make them think for a moment youre not a stalker salesman, but rather a genuine nice guy (maybe lol). Or, just assume that stopping by is the only way to catch them, since that's what worked the first time. Either way, dont worry about the stalker mindset, unless they call you a stalker haha.
