For Those Agents Using Delivery Notices

The only purpose of the notice is make contact with the lead. I can honestly say that I have never had anyone get pissy with me when they called. I don't say anything special, just that I'm getting back to them about the inquiry they made. I tied calling several times, but I had an appointment down the street, so figured I'd give it a shot. I'm going to be back ..... etc. etc.
A get about a 75% (or better), call back from the notices, and I would guess half of them turn into appointments.

I would estimate that I got contact almost 100% of the time when I used them. It wasn't good contact but it was contact.:D

Every agent and/or area is different. Ive used them the entire time Ive been doing FE, 1yr....and I can think of maybe 3-5 ppl it pissed off. I have no idea over a yr how many call backs Ive gotten from them, maybe 100....so if it pisses off 3-5% of my call backs, thats fine! I dont think its misleading, they assume its a package, I clearly write "Requested Info" on the slip!

But like I said, diff reactions in diff areas perhaps!

Since it's a last resort when I did use them then it's probably people that didn't want to talk anyway. I exhausted all other means of contact before I used them. Now I just leave my business card.

How is it shady if THEY requested information?
ESPECIALLY if they requested a free memorial guide!

Sorry about not answering your post tdf, I have heard from others that they don't have an vmail message but go back to the house after that person calls.

I am gearing up to do some knocking for a ton of leads I got and I want to have these notices myself for them and their neighbors.
I created my own but they are white and they say Final Expense Life Insurance at the top with my 800#.
At the bottom is says, "ask us about our medicare plans!"
I don't use them that much because they are white and too small.

If you are appointed with any MA carriers and one of those notes leads to a MA sale that could big trouble.I don't know if you have ever seen how a MA complaint comes down from the carrier but there is sometimes 20 questions to answer about your encounter with the client and the first always is - How did you meet the client? If they feel the note was a disguised solicitation for a MA sale then they could bust you for not only cold calling but door to door cold calling for MA plans and you could possibly lose your license for that.If the note said ask about Medicare Supplements than that's OK as long as you don't represent a company that forbids cold calling their Med Supp like AARP/UHC does. The term Medicare Plans can be construed to mean Medicare health plans which includes Med Supps and MA plans.Be careful with that.
