For those of you using NORVAX...

Re: norvax

Very disturbing. However, I have to sheepishly admit...I was the only broker in the same city and I think I have a 50/50 shot of getting his business.

Of course, as always Prospect Zone listed "NA" for pre-x and medications. The customer said he did not see a place to enter that information.

Re: norvax

but it's a cash cow for these companies who try to convince agents "it is what it is." As as long as they have agents paying to support these tactics why should they ever stop.

Your right John, You just have to really understand leads and how they generate them. Also realize the Big Players,(NetQuote,Vimo, Prospect Zone, QuotesAuction, HometownQuotes) I will exclude InsureMe, but they(InsureMe) oversell their leads in most cases, but the quality is there. I use Shared Leads everyday, and do not have these problems, if I did I would not work Shared Leads.

Re: norvax

I use Norvax through a company called Prospect Zone. They aren't to bad if you can work out the kinks of the zip codes you want and the age groups that you want. The best thing is to fight with you sales rep to you start seeing the kinds of leads you desire. It works, not with all companies (i.e. net quote), but with Prospect Zone it does.

Actually the best thing to do is realize you are the customer and if you have to argue with someone you are paying... move on. What I have learned is if it is alot of work to get a credit on a true bad lead, I am wasting my money staying with that company.

That is not really what I meant. I guess I should have clarified. I had a problem in the beginning getting exactly the kinds of leads I wanted. Unfortunately, I had an *** for a sales rep, but I was able to get him to give me exactly what I wanted. And what I did not want from him he credited me for not listening to the kinds of leads that I requested.

Anyhow, whomever was looking to find out if it is worth working with this company...all I can say is so far it has worked for me.

Re: norvax

Some of the worst leads, no, THE worst leads I've ever had. Netquote is second to worst...

If your company's paying...go for it! Luckily, I got mine free through some kind of USPC promotion or something. Sooooo glad I didn't waste my money on them.

My sales have dried to a crisp due to a lack of active prospects which I currently employ the internet to seek.
I need your help. I am considering any Agency that will help me pay for leads? I have been completely independent for a year and cant stand the problem of finding good leads anymore. I'd rather be working on the phone than b2b on foot (its not my thing) but I can't ever get the volume I did and in turn sales as when I was working with a daily supply of recent to fresh leads.
Please any ideas from the pros would be greatly appreciated?

Plan B is getting an SB loan which looks to be difficult unless you want 50,000 on your head
Plan C: Partner with someone who's got capitol or a leads system, possibly become captive and no offense (sometimes screw my clients due to my tongue tied company policy and lack of product line)

That was hard to follow...

How about cold-calling (telephone) small business owners 3-5 hours daily...?

Re: norvax

We I have a great exclusive lead source Dave - PM me for the info - could be right down your alley.

Being exclusive doesn't mean they haven't registered on other sites. I wouldn't bother with exclusive, it didn't pay. Norvax credits me for every lead I can't reach, no questions asked. I made a very good living off their leads last year and still am. Everyone else I tried, and there were many, ripped me off completely.

Re: norvax

Vimo is very good, especially their LIVE leads.

ProspectZone (aka Norvax's lead company) are the worst. I bought a ton from them in 2007 and they were garbage. "I dont want health insurance! How many times do i have to tell you people!!! I signed up for a free iPod for god's sake!" But, all lead companies go up and down quality wise. sometimes one is good, then they go bad. One starts bad, then improves. Lots of reasons you dont want to tie yourself down to ANY company. Whether that be for leads, or quoting or anything. Keep your flexibility and dont bet your business on a long term contract.

Regardless of the lead company you use outside of that.... it all comes down to technique. Get to the lead FAST. Now's not a good time? Set an APPOINTMENT. Then when you have their focus, JUST LISTEN. Then be caring, enthusiastic and targeted in your response. Lot more to it than that. But selling leads over the phone has more to do with technique than lead quality.
