For those of you using NORVAX...

Re: Norvax Customer Service

I'm not sure I understand why anyone would want clients to get a boatload of quotes that will generally have them gravitate to the cheapest anyway. Wouldn't it be better to "control" the sale more, do a proper needs analysis and offer what's best for the client?

It IS about control, but a quote service doesnt create that problem, it helps alleviate it. Quote services are a tools that HELP you control and inform the sale. Controlling the sale these days involves helping a customer make a decision. If they think you are only showing them one or two options, they will CONTINUE TO SHOP ELSEWHERE. That is getting easier and easier to do these days. If you listen to them, then show them alternatives (as a quote service like Quotit or others can do for you easily), you actually guide them thru the elimination process using the tool as a visual aid.
Some agents show only one option, which works if the customer already trusts you, as within a local market, or a personal referral. But with a phone sale or internet lead, etc, you need to show that you are well-armed to present the options that make the most sense, and are able to save them the time it would take for them to look at all the options on their own.

Re: norvax

That was hard to follow...

How about cold-calling (telephone) small business owners 3-5 hours daily...?

When is the last time you did b2b cold on the phone?
I don't have any platform to do that from as I have been a full service brokerage employing the internet to find interested buyers for years now. Id rather work on motorcycles in the heat all day. (meaning I really don't see myself being effective with that method) maybe I'm wrong but It's worth a try at the cost (who knows maybe I'm great )

As an Independent I am looking to any alternative that will help me gain a large flow of leads. FMO appointment seems to be the way. I love independence but I cant seem to purchase enough leads to do the business I used to when I worked with an MGA. I need to find a way to go backwards.

I write a lot when I have a steady work flow/ leads source otherwise its 5-6 a month , thats not bad when I only purchase 20 leads but I cant do it anymore.

What has happened ? Yep I know Ive got It all wrong, right?

The saddest thing is I was lucky to start a business for the purpose of helping myself help others and make a living of course. And now I am being faced with the idea of being re-slaved in the workforce again yet wal-mart was given 200 mill in subsidies last year while small businesses struggle to get by. All the while we provide an actual service to our community.

Re: Norvax Customer Service

How does one "control" the prospect? Do you send messages over the internet to block their computer from visiting other sites? Do you bug their phone and automatically inject static when they talk to another agent? Do you hide in the bushes outside their home, office, etc. to prevent them from talking to other agents?

Quotit/Norvax is a tool.

You can use it to your advantage or not.

Re: Norvax Customer Service

Well there's a good point with control. I'm doing all my online apps through desktop sharing and I control the presentation. It's better than "ok click this....now click that....ok, now click this...."

This way I do the side-by-side comparisons and highlight important sections It's an incredible way for me to sell HSAs online.

I could tell them how to get to this screen, or I can do it while they watch.

Re: norvax

I have said it over and over, They have no choice but to use affliates, the example you used above is the worse kind of affliliate that mass emails spam, (Junk) for the number of leads an outfit like Norvax or Prospect Zone, needs to generate, they choose to use this type of marketing. Garbage, Complete. Also if you check, they dont advertise that deep on the Major Search engines for the Major Terms, plus the lead generating form they use, is one page, which develops a lower quality of prospect. You had a dirty email spam lead, sold to 5 Agents, and the individual was not even serious. People wonder why they can never get ahold of the lead? Its the Lead Source.

There's is a lot more to it than that, I used to sell to P Zone/Norvax, but what degrades the lead is that it is possible that the lead goes to a call center in Fla. (HBDC) with predictive dialers. I cannot confirm this for legal reasons.:policeman:

Devil Rays Remain Undefeated...

In Tuesday's edition of the Wall Street Journal (page 2) Norvax admits to "overstating profits" and "overselling leads" to customers.

I guess they're going to try to find a company that will buy them.

Check out the paper. The April 1 edition...April 1, that is.
