I agree with generating your own leads. I still purchase internet leads. The key is to be the first person to talk with them. If your calling them the minute you get them and your not the first caller then drop the company.
Also you need a system when working internet leads. If I don't get hold of them the first call then I try back twice a day for 3 days. I also email them. Then I will follow up with them once a week for another 2 weeks.

If that works for you...keep doing it. I could not do that though. Before caller ID...yes. But not now.

A little footnote about Prospect Zone...while their "Select Leads" are supposed to be "select" (PPC and no affiliates)...it was revealed today that they actually use an outfit called Datran Media presents NetMargin™ | The Performance Network
to generate EMAILS to get leads.

I have said it over and over, They have no choice but to use affliates, the example you used above is the worse kind of affliliate that mass emails spam, (Junk) for the number of leads an outfit like Norvax or Prospect Zone, needs to generate, they choose to use this type of marketing. Garbage, Complete. Also if you check, they dont advertise that deep on the Major Search engines for the Major Terms, plus the lead generating form they use, is one page, which develops a lower quality of prospect. You had a dirty email spam lead, sold to 5 Agents, and the individual was not even serious. People wonder why they can never get ahold of the lead? Its the Lead Source.

but it's a cash cow for these companies who try to convince agents "it is what it is." As as long as they have agents paying to support these tactics why should they ever stop.
