For those of you using NORVAX...

Re: Norvax Empty Promise

I agree. It is deceptive. He basically says on the webinar he went from 10-40 when he stopped using shared leads and had his site re-designed and started receiving organic search traffic to his website.

If I was pulling the type of traffic (exlusive leads) that Mr. Cantu is on my site, I would easily be writing 40 deals a month as well...

You can even tell in the webinar that Norvax tries to get him off of the subject of SEO and plugs their own SEO service.

We all knew it would be a Norvax commercial, but your average newbie agents are going to bite on this special bundle and expect traffic to their site. Caveat Emptor...

I am a Norvax user and Norvax saves me a ton of time, but in no way should Norvax be taking the credit for this guy producing 40 apps per month..

Change your Meta Description Tag, and you will see better results. This one change effects more than you realize. listing just keywords will hurt your site in the Meta Description

Here is his meta description:

"Texas Health & Life is a Texas Health Insurance Agency providing free online quotes, buyer's guide, and free phone support, to help you search for Texas health insurance for individual, family, self-employed, and small business coverage in Texas.

If you Meta Description is not written similar to this, You are hurting your own website.

Re: Norvax Empty Promise

I have been doing SEO and PPC for well over 10 years, both for my companies and Fortune 500 companies. I have personally spent and been involved with MIILLIONS of dollars in online advertising.

There is no free lunch.

You CAN get good natural traffic for free but this takes a lot of time and effort as the rules of the game are constantly changing. There is NO cookie cutter solution.

Either you pay someone to do SEO (most are a scam) or you sit there for years and geek out on it (like me!!!) or open up your wallet and pay through the nose (like me!!!)

Anyone expecting to pay $500 for an SEO solution is way off track - there is no such thing.

p.s. Meta tags are essential but in terms of SEO formulation they hold very little weight these days in the overall calculations. The main calculation is GOOD, UNIQUE, and RELEVANT content and sites linking TO YOU.

I agree, but it can be done, if you research and study and use good solid SEO. This kid has only been in buisness for 3-4 Years, and the first two years was with no Traffic, so it can be done, and it does not take years. He did it right, and what he learned is from this product: Learn. Rank. Dominate. : SEO Book.com

Meta Keywords hold little weight, I agree, but the Meta Description holds alot of weight to google. What kills websites is listing, keyword phrases in the Meta Description. I see it all the time on websites, Most Dont understand what the Meta Description is or how much weight it actually does carry.

Dmilller I will answer the question honestly. Competition? Hardly. The market and web is so big - this is just silly.

Dmiller SEOBOOK is awesome. Period. It is great stuff - I agree 100% with your recommendation.

As for hiring an SEO company any REAL company will charge HUGE amounts of money. I have seen quotes well into the millions or high 6 figures for REAL companies.

Most SEO companies are a flat out scam. Always pay them BASED ON PERFORMANCE and most will refuse your business, they know they can not produce and most will NOT work performance based.

The other thing to keep in mind is the rules of the game change often. So hiring an SEO company can be an ongoing trap.

I agree if you have time - researching yourself and doing a little bit at a time is a great idea.
