For those of You Who've Warned Me/spoken Disparagingly About LH,

Touche.

What do I do now?

2.5 years in, a fairly substantial book in place, and its been written mostly on the backs of TV leads, which I like and can forecast accurately.

Is there an outfit that offers TV leads similar to LH, where I can get a contract at 100% or up? I am at 85% now.

Private responses encouraged and appreciated.

LH cost so much more than everyone else. You can rewrite most of your business and save most of them a lot of money.

Unless a non-compete is in place . . .

I would be very careful in rewriting life business. If you do make sure you complete replacement notice. If not you will be in trouble and of course LH will know what you are doing. Best advice limit replacement

If you leave, make sure your leads are completely paid for or they will send you the old nasty note and put you on Vector before you can turn around!

To answer your question about the TV leads, I'm pretty sure you won't find that. However, there are other ways to get good leads though. From what I've seen, very few agents actually like the TV leads because you get mostly the "near uninsurables".

I dont plan on replacing my current book, its unscrupulous would make me "one of them", but your advice is well-taken.

I owe nothing in leads and have already been contacted by an outfit here who has TV leads.

Interesting perspective, though, as my closing ratios for TV leads vs. Direct mail leads is almost 2 to 1....its compelling to hear from another agent that few agents prefer TV leads, whereas I'd prefer nothing else.

Thanks for your reply.

Wonder which Senior Life recruiter that was?
