Free Leads

The phonebook was my 1st lead book. We called it a prospect book. It was full of names and numbers of people for me to call. Then I upgraded to the newspaper.

I still remember my phonebook and yellowpad.

My first "lead book" was also the phone book but we were "more advanced". I also used a voter registration list, it had birthdays.

I use to be able to go through the phone book and successfully find people who were on Medicare by their first name.

My first "CRM" was also a Big Chief tablet and a Sharp Crayon.

Thank God for advances in technology!

With a Live Transfer campaign you will get better results targeting small business owners with 0-6 employees or we can break it down by SIC codes.

That is some mighty expensive "targeted data"; for the price to get below a $1.50 as Mark pointed out.

It's impossible to get $1.50/transfer with or w/o data. Not sure what he is talking about.

The agents using our system is closing on avg of 4-6 per 100 transfers.

We are averaging closer to 8/100; and paying by the minute. That price includes the "targeted data"; which is built into the minute price. But I agree with you and the numbers you are posting.

Wouldn't you agree that the closing ratio is going to depend a whole lot on the agent's ability to handle the phone call?

The "new guy" or one who assumes all he/she has to do is say "Hi, my name is Frank, you don't want to buy any insurance do you?" is going to leave a lot of money on the table. To him the "leads" will not be "worth a damn".

Actually he/she is probably the one that isn't "worth a damn", not the lead.

I see this all the time, even with agents I train. They think that since they already "know how to talk on the phone" that both what they say and the timing with which they say it isn't all that important

It takes a lot of mistakes and practice before most agents I have known get good enough on the phone to handle the call smoothly.

The agent who is willing to work hard, become an expert on the insurance they are selling and knows how to communicate that over the phone is going to dramatically close many more phone calls.

If any of you find some "Free Solid Good" Leads, can you share some with me? But then again, if someone had free good leads, why would they give them out or away?

I know a guy, that knows a guy that once thought he got some free leads, until he got his credit card bill in the mail. LOL

You hit the nail on the head Frank. An agent that comes right off the street w/ no phone experience is going to struggle and some never make it.

It takes practice and good product knowledge to be successful.

We offer a few tools that will help the learning process. Within the web based control panel you are able to run reports that will give you vital information. You are also able to go back and listen to every conversation and critique yourself.

Some like this type of lead generation and some don't. As for me, I like to sit down at my desk and wait for the phone to ring. Sometimes the transfer only once to tell me to ^%^%# but at least it was Exclusive ).
