FREE Prescription Assistance Program

I would recommend anyone that is looking for an opportunity to monetize free social services, and possibly even sell an FE policy after the qualification period, contact Slushpuppy.

He is driving the bus and I wish all of you that punch that ticket the best of luck, please keep us posted on your progress.

Driving the bus, I like that!

Look guys I have new agents come on board all the time and after really looking into PAP(s) they'll shoot me a call or email that goes something like this:

"I really like the found money approach and want to help seniors with their med costs but I just don't know how I feel about enrolling them into something that they can do for free on their own."

I simply say hey you don't have to enroll them through LSSC. But if you are going to market lowering prescription costs then a client is going to expect more from you than simply a phone number or website to go to of an organization you aren't affiliated with. This isn't for everyone and my advice is do FE marketing and sales like you have been doing and if after the sale you want to mention PAP(s) to the client and give them a few numbers go for it, but don't go to the house under the guise of someone there to help them with their med costs.

LSSC is just something I have in my bag for those clients that can't afford a policy specifically because of their med costs. THEN I switch gears and get them enrolled into LSSC. That way I am with them through the process and actually know when they are approved, seeing savings, and can come back to write the FE business. If I just send them to PPA or another organization than I am completely in the dark as to if it even worked. I would feel bad if they had a negative experience too.

My 2 cents worth from personal experience.

A week ago Sunday I went to the ER because I had been feeling like crap and it was getting worse. After doing a blood test I found out I'm now Type 1 (lucky me). Afterwards I started studying up on the different meds, etc. and decided I wanted to take Lantus since it's a one a day shot. I also learned this stuff is pretty expensive. Soooo..I went to the manufacture's website and learned they have a PAP program for this. I said to myself.."Heck, I can do this...". So I downloaded the form and after looking at it realized that, even with my vast knowledge, there were things on it I had no clue to some of the things that would need to be filled in. On a follow up visit to my Doc I took the form but didn't need it since we/she decided to keep me on Humalog 70/30 (verbal sigh of relief).

Post the link to the form download if you can, I'd like to see it.

The free service has helped nearly 8 Million people. Can't be that hard. haha

Either service the form has to be completed and signed by the doctor as I understand it. The for fee service will mail it to your doctor for them to complete while the free service you take it to your doctor. I'm guessing you get in the program a lot quicker if you do it yourself. Either way the doctor probably completes the stuff that was puzzling Jerard.

Jerard, sorry about your diagnoses. I have a family history of diabetes so I'm awaiting my turn.

Found this:
What role do doctors and other health care providers play in the PPARx prescription assistance program?
Healthcare providers play a crucial role in spreading the word that patients in need can get free or nearly free prescription medicines. Doctors, nurses, and other health care providers can also log on to PPARx to get information on patient assistance programs. Doctors will also be responsible for signing patient application forms, adding prescription information or an actual prescription and, depending on the program, potentially mailing or faxing the application on behalf of the patient.

Thanks for the well wishes. This is the PAP site for Lantus. Section One is the one I was having problems with. :goofy:

This topic is overblown & beaten to death now... Geez, really ppl?

Ppl pay to have their cars washed, lawns mowed, house cleaned, Wills, setting up LLCs/Corp. ALL sh*t you can do yourself, yet not 1 of you have a problem with that.... Do it yourself or pay to have it done, simple! Unless you are protesting all those things that ppl pay for, you're a hypocrite for saying that is a scam or whatever name you use.

The Op posted a site to give you info & get you started to do it yourself... From what I can tell or been told, it's the same info in Dr's offices, yet ppl don't do it themselves. But regardless if it's exactly the same or not, the fact remains you CAN do this yourself, just like our clients could've gotten a policy before we met them... But they haven't.

So stop acting like this service is any diff, either choose to offer it or don't & move on. I've only sold 1, I told them about the PAP program & that they can do it themselves or have us do it for a small fee... They choose the service, case closed. Maybe the next 1 will tell me they will do it themselves, fine, case closed & move on!

Now get back to FE!

It kills me how stupid people can be and here is a perfect example. You are tried of this subject but here you are. Just looking for something to cry and whine about I guess. We are not going to limit our conversations to just what Queen TDF wants. You not interested in this subject, then don't click on the link. Stay the frick away. Are you just too stupid to figure out how to stay away from a subject you think is overblown and beaten to death????

You might have been looking at the wrong form.
Should be this one I believe:
https://www.visitspconline.com/Stre...6nrTWtoNcq53mpTVkPb8sQwtF7TaorUhskS94Cxoc+3H4

All the patient completes is the basic name info; name, address, birth, ss and income. Only section 1 and 6. The doctor completes the rest.

Td I consider you one of the good guys, but I must ask: isn't posting a long opinionated post counterproductive to moving on from the topic?

I just can't get over why someone would click on a link to a subject they are not interested in. I pick and choose what threads I want to look in on. It's very easy. I abandon threads that I am no longer interested in the conversation.

I just think it takes a lot of gall to tell others what they should or shouldn't be talking about. I should not talk about something because he's not interested? Give me a break. Sorry, but it puts me over the edge. ha
