OK, first hurdle. Now perform. I already found an issue that needs help
1. I can, & I think, should unofficially tell them what's wrong & what to do, which may not be until open enrollment this fall.
2. I can't directly fix it now, but am talking to our GA rep to see what might be able to be done, then employer can let EE's know
Don't want to make employer look bad, looks like prior rep who missed details needed to service properly.
Yay, me, sort of. Could be a slight minefield.
What do you do to establish the relationship while waiting for official rights to servicing?
I also plan to ask the agent if his P&C liability carrier offers employee benefits liability coverage.
I did find out who their P&C/WC are covered by, but not agent yet.
I used to sell P&C, had several contractor clients in my former state, who knows, may go there again.
Last line, they laughed when I said I might start selling pet insurance, but it's a "thing" now, I hear in employee benefits.
Ok, jokes now.
