Guaranteed Isue and Americo

american continental/ genworth/aetna

i like their phone interveiw and the people there are pretty nice. they do make lots of mistakes like not writing down account numbers properly and than sending me a statement stating the account was closed etc. their rates are on the high side for most but last week they did beat Foresters on something.I think it was a lady smoker in her 70's?

I don't like writing GI and haven't written any in about 6 months but i should get something competitive just in case i do have one next week so i will probably run them through Americo.

She was one of my 13 dollar leads. I had the same lady a year ago on the same leads and scheduled an appointment with her and was about 45 minutes late and she wouldnt see me because it was her nap time. I was in a bad mood and she was very flakey over the phone. I told her to meet me now or forget it i wasnt coming back. she got all bad and we had words.

The lead came in last week and I called her as she is as nice as can be. Not sure if she rembers or not. most of her day is in a wheelchair but she states she can get up and walk across the room to make a bologna samwich or to fill up the crack pipe.

Gotta love selling Final expense. Of course i used to be a carnie

Who else can match our "in-the-field" stories?

Why there hasn't been a Reality TV Show made out of our biz is beyond me...

I had a funnyone last week as well. I wrote a guy about a year and a half ago. black guy 78 years old smoker. He let his policy lapse because his girlfriend stold money from his account and he couldnt pay the payments.

Last week i went back to rewrite him and this time i sent him to a different compnay who is much stricter. When i went over the questions with him he made sure to tell me his doctor told him the week before he was all good at the physical. the only scare was his blood pressure was off the charts high. But the client then told the doctor he burnt a big fatty on the way to the appointment and the doctor stated that would explain the 175/90 and gave him a clean bill of health!

Client privacy issues would be my guess.

I had a recent appointment where it was the middle of the afternoon but this apartment was dark as a cave. I couldn't see a thing. And it was 105 degrees in there. I figured out real quick that she doesn't use her air conditioner and probably blocks out all light so it doesn't get any hotter.

I actually wrote the paperwork by holding my iPhone over the application it as a light.

Yeah and I had this white crack addict woman that offered a "trade" for the premium. My first rated case ever was this white guy that had inappropriately touched his daughter. Boy that rating was tough to explain. Also had this conversion of a white boy's policy who was now a white girl, underwriting had a couple questions. Then there was that white couple last week, they were actually pretty nice, I think they were Jewish.

My question is, who uses Americo's UPIII?? Its the most ridiculous priced GI thing Ive ever come across (in my short career). I dont even consider their UPII...does anyone use anything other then their UPI series??
:nah:

I don't write anything but the UP1. I've never had a client accept 2 or 3 when they didn't qualify for 1. Nor have I recommended that they do so.
