Health insurance doubled !

Is it legal to call yourself an Insurance Agent during the course of selling a Non-Insurance Product?

As long as your license is valid, you can call yourself an Insurance Agent.

Doesn't matter what you're doing at the time.

You just have to be careful not to mis-represent the non-insurance product you're selling.

Seems there are/were several agents selling PPL memberships while holding an insurance license.

Some also sell Send Out Card plans, promote association memberships, etc.

At least one sells cars

Keep in mind that these are alternative health care plans. They do not take the place of traditional insurance. Moreover, "these plans are approve by almost all states." You can have an alternative plan with your traditional insurance. However, you can not have two traditional health care plans. One of the plans can refuse to pay the claims.

This is the game now. If you work for a living, ACA plans ain't yer friend. If you don't; you'll pay low premium, and have low o.o.p thx. to cost sharing ... nobody gets provider choices anymore ...

You are right. Cost sharing is another option. If your clients read the plans or visit the websites, clients might be able to find plans that fit their needs and budgets. The politicians are not going to make healthcare better. This is why people are using alternative plans. Some of the plans meet all ACA requirements and the clients are exempt from the mandate fee.

Co-Ordination of Benefits
Co-ordination of benefits do not always work to the benefit of the clients. Here is the reason why:
(1) When a person is covered by two or more plans, the rules for determining the order of benefit payments are as follows:
(a) The primary plan must pay or provide its benefits as if the secondary plan or plans did not exist. This is the rule in some states. Therefore, the secondary plan might not be liable for any claim.
