Health Sherpa 2016 Open Enrollment

g. Gordon that is what has me really hesitant to use HS, despite having signed up. I just have no idea what is going to happen to people who are currently on-ex NOT through HS (whether we went carrier direct, I talked them through their own hc.gov account, or we called on the phone).

No one has been able to give me an answer, and your experience has me worried.

In a perfect world, it would pull up last year's app pre-populated and then submit it, also cancel 2015 coverage 12-31-15 without them having to call. I am concerned going through HS this year is going to cause problems if you didn't go through them last year. Multiple apps, etc (I have heard some talk on here of a new application number being generated by the marketplace for 2016 renewals but have not seen anyone's actual HC.gov account yet to verify this-can anyone confirm/deny?).

I've done several renewals through HC.gov with clients today. On all of them we selected the "review your info" renewal button after they logged in. Most of them changed plans, but one continued with the same plan, end on all of them, a new FFM app ID number was generated.
 
From what I am seeing and hearing, the issues with effective dates and subsidy recalculations seem to be an FFM datahub issue that is not specific to Sherpa, but is affecting all WBEs. My guess is this is a result of recent FFM upgrades.

Not sure how many people used Sherpa or ACAexpress week 1 last year, but similar difficulties were encountered.

Fwiw, Im pretty sure these issues are totally unrelated to user interface changes with Sherpa. There were similar issues with Sherpa last week with SEPs as well as during a brief period during ffm updates last monh.

How much would it cost us to get the original SIMPLE 2015 Sherpa Engine back?

We pay a flat monthly fee for the right to use other WBE systems (that are SO inferior to the 2015 Sherpa engine)!

I'd be happy to pay you an annual fee up front . I hope that others would join me in this offer.....to cover your costs up front..... for you & your original team to bring the old 2015 platform back.

Personally, I'd even be happy to pay a per-submission fee on top of the annual fee!
I desperately need a simple system....like we had!

Looks like the CMS-WBE technical issues are abating. Sherpa apps are moving from pending to approved this evening. The slowest seem to be those who applied through HealthSherpa in 2015 and are resubmitting through HealthSherpa for 2016. Still Pending. Is it the same for your existing HealthSherpa clients?
 
Hmmm...I'm hijacking this thread to get to a solution.

If all the WBE's are inaccurate and HC.gov is crashing..out side of the MP call center (Shivers) what options are there?

Time change, broken sites, Open enrollment and AEP....no pressure.
