Health Sherpa 2016 Open Enrollment

I have no idea what will happen in terms of getting eligibility letters, paying for the plan, follow ups, etc

Right now it's backed up. But normally......... you would get an eligibility letter within a short time (minutes to hours). It will be emailed to you, but also will show up via a link on your dashboard. It's the FFM's own eligibility letter. You will also get a copy of the app's data like it was sent to the FFM. To pay for the plan, you click a button on your dashboard that takes agents through the "back door" to the FFM (avoiding account set-up, UN & PW with the verification emails). From there you can click to pay the premium. Some carriers don't use the FFM pay the premium method, but many do. You can also look at the app, and view the plan's name, effective date, etc.

By the way, to be fair to the WBEs, you can use a "back door" link to enter the FFM with other WBE's like ACAExpress, and you will also get a quick eligibility letter with them, too.

I have gotten ZERO emails from Sherpa confirming enrollments finalized, or documentation follow up emails? Should I be getting them?

Can't speak for this year, when it's so backed up right now. But in prior years, I got emails saying the app was submitted. Then emails saying it was approved, with a copy of the eligibility letter and a copy of the data on the app that went to the FFM.

I also got emails alerting that the eligibility letter requested verification docs.

Didn't you?

You should get enrollment confirmation e-mails from Health Sherpa, with the application and the marketplace letter attached. Mine are coming through, though not as fast as they used to.

The application notification e-mails arrive within a minute or two of the applicant hitting the submit to marketplace button.

I did last year, but not this year

I'm not doing any ON exchange apps yet for this OEP. I won't get into a mess, until the FFM, carriers and WBE work out at least MOST of the bugs. Meantime, I'm doing OFF exchange, group, renewing grandmothered policies, and helping some ON exchange folks preview the plans and focus on a decision. But I told them to wait on apps until the worst part of the mess is over. Somehow I think I'll be glad that I avoided hours of frustration.

Can't do two apps on Sherpa, don't know about other WBE's.

Also didn't know you could now choose two different plans on HC.gov, and do it with confidence. Didn't work well last year from what I recall.

Thanks.....and as I assume. Else, splitting into multiple groups worked great last year as well. Took a minute to figure it out, but very helpful feature....especially with Humana not having individual deductibles on the family HSA last year. Next year it will not be necessary to split husband and wife.

Hope Sherpa is a little more responsive. Three emails and a phone call (yesterday and today) with no response. App was submitted but it appears Sherpa is the bor. Before this gets too far, I was hoping to have it corrected. In fairness, could have been my error although I was logged in when link was sent.

I still like Sherpa but we'll see what happens.

OK, so HS says that the new app automatically updates the 2015 plan. No re-enrollment feature is needed?

Hi Mario,

Thank you for your contacting us. HealthSherpa's system automatically looks up the 2015 application and updates it.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to respond to this email or contact us at 855-980-2036.

Thank you,

It looks like Sherp added the enrollment back in. Spoke to someone this afternoon that was very helpful. When using the "link" feature, I guess make sure your ID is in the link. Not sure why mine somehow keeps coming out.
