Health Sherpa 2016 Open Enrollment

Gerry,

Why change over to using a more cumbersome enrollment method now, when Government is proposing that all Web Brokers be allowed follow the same method that Health Sherpa has been utilizing since your inception?

Just keep your wonderful enrollment system the way it is, and all the other Web Broker Entities will be authorized to be like you for the next Open Enrollment, if they want to.

You can be sure that our interest is aligned in keeping HealthSherpa as agent-friendly as possible, while still being allowed to operate. This is a rapidly-evolving situation, but we're aware/on top of it. We'll make a fuller announcement via e-mail, and we'll continue reading and internalizing your feedback.

when this change happens we better also get a change in cost... there is NO WAY I will pay Sherpa 10 bucks an app for the double redirect. I may for a day but when night falls I will sign up for a monthly service.... right now I have one in the bag for 24 bucks a month.

If our beloved Health Sherpa isn't willing or able to keep us on their website for the entire enrollment process, I'll join you at the $24 a month WBE, TaterPeeler.

This is a bad day for everybody. No winners. Except for the $24 mo all you can eat WBE.

Insurance Solutions Group INC is offering this for a price. You can go directly to welltheos.com and get it for free. When an FMO or GA offers web broker services they usually get a cut. I've seen many products widely vary in prices depending on who offers it. The platform that I started using varies between $159 to as low as $50. They did start showing the form on the front end last Monday where you enter your NPN number as well as having it attached to your application on the back end when you are redirected back to the web broker site. The application on the redirect is not as complicated if most of your clients are citizens or have simple situations but it does add time to the process.

For the most part not having to be redirected to Healthcare.gov is a good thing but in some cases it's important to have all of the questions mirror what's on Healthcare.gov. It seems like that's part if the issue with CMS and HHS. If we could get all of the questions on two or three pages where you can quickly click through, answer the questions and be done that would be great until they find something else to complain about.
