Health Sherpa

So wait you guys still haven't gotten the hang of Healthcare.Gov and are paying $25 an app for assistance? Are you all mad...

If you have all the information an app on Healthcare.Gov shouldn't take more then 10 minutes, 20 tops for a family.

It takes 15 minutes in JULY. What's hc.gov going to look like in OEP? I will gladly pay $25 per app for the headache of OEP hc.gov to be removed from my life. We are doing it now (well, I haven't yet, but that's what the thread is about) to determine what its going to be like prior to OEP and plan accordingly.

I just don't give a crap about paying $25 an application to take care of it quickly but do whatever you want, it's a free country out there.

Here's the deal fellas. It's not $25 an app.

Quick easy math. 100 apps = $2500

But only 75 pay the bill. so now you have 2500/75 = $33.33 per app (my favorite number... btw... but still too high)

I've got another deal I'm working on now that will only be $5 per app.

Perhaps deploying HealthSherpa capabilities to thousands of sharp agents was/is not as simple as they thought? Working directly with both HHS and Insurers to stay technically interfaced properly, while adapting to behind-the-scenes rule adjustments, may be consuming most of their resources.

To be fair the feds can't even keep up with their rule changes even with all their resources.

I've done 2 apps through Health Sherpa and Ning has been helpful in getting both of them processed and follows up with assistance in getting documents uploaded to the marketplace.

I guess I see things in a broader context than most insurance agents who can't see spending $25 for anything other than beer.
