Health Sherpa

Problem is in volume this is impossible. CMS says over 80% get a subsidy.

I see about 90% online... with a 10% margin for error. Lol.

It's showtime!

Yes!!!

And I am sure the CMS numbers are correct. They never lie. 80% on the exchange get a subsidy. I would like to hear the percentages from a carrier on their individual books.

But I think the data is skewed.

I don't.

80% subsidy sounds low to me.

That is obamacare. It is a subsidy program. The rest is just one man group.

If you are doing volume AND doing mostly on-exchange, a Web Broker Entity is necessary, because you can't do them all in 30 days.

If you are doing mostly OFF exchange (like KGMom and me), then Sherpa or any Web Broker Entity is useless for those OFF exchange apps. However, for the few on-exchange apps, Sherpa frees you from having to be intimately familiar with headache.gov quirks. Yes time is money, but freedom from headache.gov quirks is gold.

If you are in the middle, with a manageable number of apps to complete in OEP, and you do enough exchange business to be extremely familiar with headache.gov or carrier-direct, then why pay a web broker to do it for you?

If 80% get a subsidy on exchange, that means 20% are too stupid to realize they should have bought off exchange, and didn't use an agent.

Maybe 2% bought ON exchange in case their income drops below 400% during the 15' year

I submitted 3 applications via Health Sherpa and all got the eligible letter back. But how to enroll the health plan?
