Health Sherpa

I submitted an application this morning and the next screen said it would be processed once Open Enrollment began-they really need to change that screen to something more up to date.

For those of you who have submitted applications, has anyone received their eligibility letter in real time or is there a wait? It isn't a big deal for me, just want to know that I am in the same boat as everyone else.

There is a wait, maybe a few hours, but the letter does show in your dashboard eventually by clicking on the client detail section

question.....when some one apply's when and how is the prem. paid......is there an option to set up a bank draft or is it all done by monthly billing......

One other question I did have was whether or not they show all "off exchange" options if someone doesn't qualify for subsidy? or, is the system simply showing all "on-exchange" options. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Sherpas useless for only off exchange plans..Sherpa hype is overblown ! Waste of money..except for big dogs like Joe Stevens of course

For someone like me, 95% of my biz is OFF. So for the 5% that's on ex, sherpa is a lifesaver. I don't do hc.gov enough to be quick at it.

@kgmom219 as a lead seller, we help agents who are not as knowledgeable as you guys. Please, educate me what is wrong with the following process (what am I missing?) if someone is selling just United or Assurant and 5-10 apps a day,

1. Agent receives a lead
2. Go to ehealth or healthcare.gov to see which company will be good for the client (pretty soon, with experience, they may bypass the step)
3. If United, for both off or on Exchange, use : https://www.uhone.com/broker/main/default.aspx
4. If Assurant, for both off or on Exchange, use: Assurant Health Insurance Agents | Assurant Health Agents
5. Carriers may even get 1st month payment.

In case customer themselves does step 3 and 4 (via Agent's dedicated links) customer sees websites of a well-known brands where PII is less likely to be compromised. It is all free for an agent - no per app fee or subscription.

I wrote 5 different carriers this weekend.

I write off exchange direct.

I write on exchange with the sherp.

If I never see hc.gov again, that's fine with me.

Time is money.

I have to "touch" every client in 30 days. Any new clients are via referrals. And they may just get my sherpa link if I'm out of time. Persistency is key. Ask me again after 12/16, it may be a different answer. But for the next 30 days this is my plan.

Problem is in volume this is impossible. CMS says over 80% get a subsidy.

I see about 90% online... with a 10% margin for error. Lol.

It's showtime!

Going the carrier direct route is very helpful for those that didn't update their password like the 6 emails 1 post card and 1 phone call requested.
