Health Sherpa

Is Health Sherpa working for anyone yet. I sent a client a quote today and she dsont geat a subsidy. She said she finished the app from the link and quote I sent her but was not asked for money. I called humana and they said they are not allowing apps yet except from health care.gov. Anyone know what is going on?

Sherpa is not collecting money.
Sherpa's apps are going TO hc.gov
HC.gov will forward the info to Humana (who will send your client a billing statement along with their policy & ID cards).

I submitted an app yesterday for a subsidy eligible family of 6 through Sherpa. After gathering all of the information needed the wife told me she "wasn't sure if her husband has filed taxes last year", saying they were behind on things. In this case, would the family actually be subsidy eligible? And if not, will I still be charged by Sherpa for the application?

HS, I have noticed two apps I submitted yesterday have not been approved by the marketplace (the eligibility letter is not showing up).

Are there any issues on the backend with HS/CMS? Not sure why the policy has not been approved at this point. Is there a time delay I should anticipate before the eligibility notice appears?

Any others seeing this happen?

Great question I did my first one today,, got the email saying it had been summited, person I did it for got an email from Health Care. gov that they have a message? and to log in to get it? really the only reason to use this service is so people don't have to deal with hc.gov, they have no login and don't want one called Sherpa no answer just rings and rings..

thanks to everyone for your feedback on how health Sherpa is working or not working.I'm only using it with strangers that I have never seen before and probably will never see again. they charge $25 for each app submitted and then their job is done. I don't think much thought went into the responsibilities of health Sherpa after the submission of the application to help care.gov.

I have one that was submitted on 11/12 which does not show an eligibility letter yet. Sent them a PM just now about it. Couple other issues I see:

1. Virginia did not expand Medicaid, but many of the quotes with children show the kids being sent to Medicaid or CHIP anyway. Had this problem with HC.gov last year where they would have to wait for Medicaid to deny them and then go back to marketplace to add child and re-calculate subsidy. Frustrating.

2. All of the plans show Adult Dental as being included, but the only company that includes it is Kaiser

MO & KS also didn't expand Medicaid & when children were split off, basically we never heard from Medicaid at all. I had one couple who just had to purchase an individual plan for their son "off-exchange". she repeatedly tried to contact Medicaid and was told to "wait", "be patient", etc. Never got any determination - no denial - nothing.

Well, just submitted my first Health Sherpa on Marketplace app for a couple. Got the email, as did the applicant, with the confirmation number. It was with an insurance company I am licensed to sell for 2015 (confirmed with them while there).

I will let you guys know how it goes.

Just curious if this is as easy as it sounds. I signed up, submitted my first app on Monday (it was a renewal from one of my 2014s). After struggling with bcbstx.com and hc.gov, I just went ahead and tried the healthsherpa. Submitted the app, got the eligibility results back in about 20 minutes and the subsidy was right on the money, exactly what was estimated.

So now, I'm done? No follow up with BCBSTX required? I've been looking to see if it comes through on BCBSTX but I don't see it yet, it still shows the expiring and the renewal (before the change). Anyone know how long it takes for the app to show up on the carrier's side?
