Health Sherpa

For most carriers, yes. A minority of carriers are behind on their integrations with the federal marketplace and you may need to pay via bill, call or through their existing portal. The larger ones all offer payment flows at this point though the federal marketplace, and hence, HealthSherpa.

Ning,

Any solution on to why things are taking so long hitting United Healthcare?

Ning,
ANother feature in the future for HS would be the ability to save quotes. Having to re-run quotes can be a time consuming.

Do it as a "link" when you send it to the clients. Or save it somewhere even when you don't send it. Makes life so much easier.

How long does it normally take to have the application sent to the provider? I sent one on 12/4 and the carrier still does not have it.

I'll just throw in there that Health Sherpa is a god send. If it weren't for HS, I wouldn't be selling health insurance this year at all. I had someone in my office for 2 hours yesterday trying to deal with healthcare.gov, creating accounts, dealing with incorrect email passwords, another account, etc. Finally got in to one account and went to verify identity (all with the consumer sitting right next to me) and it detected she had another account and refused to go any further. It asked us to call in. So we tried calling and got a fast busy signal.

So I finally said, "Forget it. We'll deal with the dental later. Lets to go Health Sherpa." 5 minutes later I had her submitted, 5 minutes after that, I had an enrollment confirmation. $25 well spent.

For the most part my apps with HS have gone fantastically. However, I have had a couple of issues that need to get resolved. Have left messages and sent emails (some several days ago) with no response. Is there a different number to call than what is listed on the "About" page?

There's a bottleneck, or a re-route that's occuring somewhere after the Subsidy Eligibility letter is generated by the Marketplace. No idea where that is. Maybe Ning will pay us another visit and explain the behind the scenes work-flow processes.
