Health Sherpa

Ning fixed my issues and still working hard at midnight on a Tuesday to get everything resolved....maybe they can hire 10 more of him.

Something I'm having trouble finding out. What about those that want dental plans? I've put in a question with HealthSherpa and am waiting for an answer. I've called BCBSTX and they said you cannot sign up over the phone.

This and selecting a primary care physician for HMO are the two issues that I'm having trouble with. I've been telling the consumer to tell BCBS (when they get the introductory phone call) to at that time select their PCP, but I don't know how to solve the dental question.

For the larger HMOs, you can usually choose your primary care provider when you click the "Pay Premium" button. In your dashboard, click the application, then "Access", then login with your agent credentials to access the account and pay premium.

Thats perfect! I just learned something new. So when I get the eligibility results back, I log into the hc.gov (through my User ID and PW), find the app, click Pay My Premium, it takes me back to bcbstx.com where I have the option of paying the first month's premium and there I can select the PCP. That's great.

However, I still don't have the option of signing up on dental. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

We are working on dental - we have the plan details and rate data, we just need to adapt our quoter and plan selection interface.

One important note - we strongly recommend accessing each application after submission and clicking on the "Pay Premium" button.

Most carriers are properly attributing NPN's, but a small number of carriers have additional steps in their flow that they require you to do in order to properly attribute the application to you. You can still attribute via conventional channels (calling / emailing agent reps) but going through their finalization flow is ideal.

We will send a communication out to all agents, and note this in our user interface.

Can you Make Payment through Health Sherpa after you complete application in one sitting or do you have to wait till it is on the carrier site and make payment through the carrier site? With Other software like INXS Cloud and Ebroker the software does not have a way to take payment you have to make payment through carrier site.

You can make payment through the "Access" button as soon as you can see it - usually within 3-5 minutes of submission.

Thanks,
Ning

Re: Health Sherpa making payments

So i can make payment at the same time of application for all carriers without waiting a few days for the application to show on the carrier site. From A-Z I can complete everything all in one shot
