Health Sherpa

If he did it that way...............................................

Just do a redirect from your website like www.TexasHealthGuy.com to your sherpa page like i did. Who is going to type all that rigmarole in correctly??

Redirecting from a purchased, easy to remember URL is what I use too. Works fine as far as I can tell. Didn't do any mass marketing, but the people who received the URL enrolled as my clients just fine.

The direct link works fine, it's the embedded iframe attached to our website that doesn't work correctly in iOS. Ning worked with us late last night to resolve the issue. They are working on a fix right now.

Charles, we are happy to cross check enrollments against your list (by address, name, etc.) to see if any consumers accidentally visited healthsherpa.com directly instead of your consumer link. We have a fairly quick AoR reassignment process that we can do if there are any issues. Sharing the link by email (or using a masking link as mentioned above) can help minimize the chance of issues.

Ning,
Still having issues with subsidy calculation not working correctly. Had 2 apps come back with higher premiums today. The 3rd (just a quote at this point) was off considerably when I checked it with HC.gov.

It's not HC.gov, because it's quoting system got the subsidy correct on both cases above. I believe it's an issue on HS's side.

Run this info:
60, 53, 19 year old
income $20,000
zip code - 27410

HC.gov - $1234.39 per month
HS - $1300 per month
Hope you can find out why this is happening. At this point, I have to use HC.gov to quote and HS to enroll...

Russell, we have a data sync scheduled for this weekend which should resolve most of these issues. Final price differences are usually due to one of:

1) Subsidy different b/c federal hub rate on benchmark plan changed
2) Subsidy different b/c federal hub is using a different income than stated by applicant.

The sync should resolve everything due to reason #1. In the meantime, we apologize for the discrepancy.

Thanks,
Ning

2) Subsidy different b/c federal hub is using a different income than stated by applicant.

sorry ning, feds don't use any other income than what is stated on the app... sorry, that comment is not according to the regs....

Even the Federal Government conflicts itself when issuing subsidy eligibility income guidelines. I've read some CMS training stating that prior-year tax return info is used to affect subsidy. Other CMS guidelines say that the next year's estimated income determines the subsidy. Maybe it could go either way, depending on the applicant's profile in the fed data hub...or whatever its called.

That's right if they used some other source then why even ask the question?
No source can give a future estimate better than the person.
