Hey all,

I am needing help finding coverage for a 68 Female NS heart transplant diabetic(no insulin). I did write some FE policies with a captive company that I am no longer with. Some of the cases that are posted on here about clients getting either 1st day coverage or graded benefit would have been GI with my old company. I am not familiar with the other companies underwriting guidelines and am curious what her options would be if any besides maybe Vantis or MoO.

thanks for your time

What state is she in?

Based on your input, she could qualify for either Vantis Guaranteed Golden or Fidelity Life Rapid Decision Senior Life.

Vantis is guaranteed issue with a 2 yr graded period (ROP if death in first 2 years) with full DB payable at the beginning of year 3.

Fidelity's RD Senior Life product only asks about heart transplant within the last 2 years - she should be able to answer no to the other health questions based on your input. The graded period on this product is a 3 yr ROP+5% interest. Here's a link to the product guide on their website:

I don't think any companies will offer day 1 coverage with the heart transplant history.

Hope the info helps.

I wouldn't be so absolute in calling this a GI or ROP case only.

The transplant was about 5 years ago

We would need a list of the meds she takes in order to know for certain here but there may be a few companies who's application that she could get thru. That is if the meds she takes aren't on their knock out Rx list.

What carriers can offer day 1 coverage on a transplant patient?

There are several potentially... again depending on the meds the PI is taking, which we do not know at this time.

I'd look at the Monumental appl and I don't see anything to exclude a 5yr old organ transplant. So I'd consider them and there are others. My comment is, until we know more info regarding meds on the PI, I wouldn't be so absolute that it is a no-go.

Yes there are several. We need more info, but we (Security National) would probably approve graded and possibly day one coverage. It will depend on her meds and any other issues.
