How Far Do You Work from where You Live?

Curious as to how far those who work leads on a regular basis travel from their home area. I have worked some leads and the distance is up to 175 miles one way. Do you try to stay within a certain radius of your home base, or are you willing to travel 3-4 hours one way to work leads? Thanks.

Ideally within a 40 minute one-way drive, but I have driven nearly 2 hours one way for periods of time.

I think with the price of gas, etc. it is important to factor these investments into the value of a lead.
One hour each way for a $112 monthly term life policy? Sure.
One hour each way for a PDP? Pass.

I do no work my home county by choice. I work within an hours drive in all directions from my home. Once I'm at that hour drive then I work that area all day. then home that same day.

I have never once spent the night somehwere to run appointments. If I were working 175 miles away I probably would spend the night. That's another reason to not work that far away.

Me too, on the different state. I am 40 miles from the Indiana line, 40 miles from the Tn. line, 35 miles from the Il. line, about 85 miles to the Missouri line. The only direct I can go very far and not leave the state is east.

Good thing I'm licensed in all those states. Well, except Il. I don't do business over there.

I'll travel an hour one way tops & usually only for a referral from an existing client. I like to have my clients closer. I do for the most part.

I usually do the same. Work 2 to three days out of town. Then work around my area the other days. Really enjoy it too.
