How is gas, food and electric rate hikes affecting FE sales?

You answered your own questions . i mentioned some things other Fmo's do .I really need none of the above . But if Todd's competing for new agents he's competing against some of the above .I think to have a serious high vol fe shop you have to connect your traders to a lead source of fixed leads. If your getting Rgi leads most fmo's want all your business . But i was with one that didn't really care . Of course you want to put a good portion with them .I don't get fe leads anymore . I'm running high vol mapd leads and selling 3-5 a week to ones i don't sell mapd to .I'm reading that return on fe mailers continues to decline . Prices on fixed cost averaging $38-$44 in many areas now .Some fmo's are subsidizing lead costs. If you were making 30% override wouldn't you keep your agents costs at $35 to help them stay very profitable and motivated . Even if you subsidized $3-$5 a lead Thats at max $4800 a yr of subsidy . If a guys doing $150k and your override 30% thats $45k . Who wouldn't spend $4800 to make $45k. With gas approaching $5 a gallon a heavy driver like myself its a big deal . When i sell life i'n using tactics to get higher premiums such as the inflation card .

Hey man, you're correct I did answer my own questions.

I'm curious to see what you would say, what's your unique opinion ?

Please help me understand how having these specific caveats you are giving swag to are such a big deal for big hitters in FE ?

How would you get top contracts without a good FMO ?

How does Bowman's ding texting system work ?

How does this system benefit someone like J.D. ?

How do morning calls benefit top agents, big hitters ?

If an FMO is offering fixed cost RGI leads and the agent writes business off those leads and puts it through a different agency, does that cause a problem ?
Is the agent free to do that ? Good for the relationship?

Thanks in advance

I don't understand your obsession with what something does for me but I'll play along.

What are the benefits of an IMO like FEX for me? Number 1 is the comradery. This is a lonely job. And yu really can't talk about your job to non FE agents because most people would think you're making it up.

Of course the contracts are important and you can't get higher contracts elsewhere. But more important than the contract levels is having contracts with the right companies. What difference would it make if you had a 175% contract with say an RNA? An unusable company is an unusable company at any commission. So company selection is paramount to commission. The fact that you get the selection and the commission is priceless.

Then there's the leads. FEX has many lead vendors and any lead vendor FEX recommends is men tested b the owner before he will recommend them. Of course most of those lead vendors are available from any IMO or even without an IMO. Except for RGI. If you want to use leads, and I do, you must deal with an IO that does business ith RGI. FEX checks that box too.

hen there's training an support. If you think an experienced agent doesn't need continued training and support then you are just keeping yourself in the dark.

I am constantly learning and evolving my business based on the training sessions and contact with what I believe to be the best collection of FE agents in the world. Travis made some very insightful comments on our last call. Thing I already did but not able to express to agents that I do those things or how and why. Travis has the ability to put those things into words and perspective and the ability to share it.

Then there's the Groupme chats. We have a comradery chat where you can just talk to agents doing what you do about anything. But we also have the lifeline chat that is for agents actually in the home with a prospect and has a pressing question. You can ask there and in seconds have answers from the best agents out there. Not an answer from some desk jockey that hasn't met with a prospect in 15 years.

FEX also has an annual meeting, not the last 2 because of covid, with intensive training for new, and old, agents and more importantly, fellowship.

The last 3 annual meeting were on cruise ships and FEX pays your way if you are on a $10K per month production run the 3 months before the cruise. FEX also has the production rings. Those things may not mean anything to you or anyone else but no other FE IMO is doing those things.

None of that is forced on anyone and some people chose to not participate in the fellowship. I know about one agent that's been a top 5 producer with FEX for the last 5 years or so. Might have been number 1 one year? He's never been to the annual meeting. He's not on the Groupme chats. He's rarely on the weekly calls. As I understand he doesn't use RGI leads. I've never met him nor even spoken to him.

I'm sure he could go to any IMO. But he choses FEX. I can only assume it's for the contracts and company choices. But it's only an assumption since I've not spoken to him. But I don't care why he choses FEX.

Each person will have their own list of what's important to them, or not, with an IMO.

You seem to be overly consumed by what others value.

At least now you don't have to continue to ask DonP about what FEX does for me.

I was very careful when I mentioned you, simply asked about the "Ding Text System".

Each person has on this board has a unique opinion, you know that bro.

It's Don's post,not yours.

Why are you answering his post ?

Thanks

I'll get the popcorn going and wait for his reply.

I've been on company trips. Like you, I would rather have increased comp and pay for my own trips.

With my family, on my schedule.

As to rising cost, since my original question, even more factors are at play and prices continue to rise. No, the sky is not falling, but it is only getting more expensive to breath.

Newer agents will feel the burn first, and the old grumpy ones will adjust as needed.

My personal plan is to get a moped and only eat 4 days a week. :twitchy:

My greater curiosity is how people are emotionally dealing with the financial changes. We have a econ professor (now retired) who attends our church, he explained economics is as much about the emotions of the public as it is the financial facts.

When planting your field it's a good practice to know the lay of your land.

I also forgot, because I don't use them, that FEX agents have use of the FE quoter and Toolkit at no charge. Also one of the FEX agents developed the Tracker system and also added Navigator to it. Those are available also to any FEX agent that wants it.

I answered simply because you asked him about me, twice.

What I want to know is, what's JD's favorite college basketball team. :)

If a guy on a moped pulls up in my driveway and I'm feeling kindly, I'll offer a cheese stick or some peanut butter sandwich crackers.
