How long should a new agent stay in an IMO that they think might be failing them

Some of the releases I have seen contain a non disclosure clause where the agent cannot talk about their prior IMO. AKA not discuss how they were getting extremely low commission levels. So once you get a release.....shhhhh don't tell other agents about us.
