My point is that selling insurance policies and doing internet marketing at the same time is an impossible task. If I would sell insurance, I would outsource my marketing to a professional internet marketing company. Another option is to setup your own in-house affiliate program and pay publishers per lead generated (you can get your own professional affiliate management portal for $99/month). Buying leads can also be an option, but you would have to spend some time finding a good lead provider, while you search always get a refund for any leads that are invalid and after 50 leads or so go to the next seller if you made no sales. Progressive for example sells leads to their agents. You can also buy 100,000 old leads for around $10,000 and use outsourced freelancers from India or Philippines callers to call and re-generate old leads into fresh leads. You can expect about 0.5% conversion rate, so about $20 per lead plus labor cost (minimal). I would expect a high closing ratio from these leads, and any that are out of your license area should just be resold for about $20 to a leads aggregator. You might get better results through using email campaigns instead of call center. The point is the job of originating these leads was done by someone else, this way you can focus on searching for the prospects who happen to be shopping for insurance and selling (273/100,000 would be buying insurance today, and 2083 this week if all contact info is current and valid, 5 would be buying insurance today in your state). Now how someone generated 100,000 leads online whatever their freshness status is a different and career. Liberty Mutual for example buys insurance leads from other insurance companies. If you want to sell more insurance make sure that you are not working both jobs of selling and internet marketing. If you could understand how to generate insurance leads online you would understand the theory of internet marketing and how to generate traffic for any market sector, and you would quickly figure out that you are wasting time trying to sell insurance. This is just so basic, I hope everyone can be successful in what they do as long as they don't try to do other peoples jobs. You wouldn't try to make your own paper that you use in the office, so focus on selling insurance not counting how many leads you generated. Any agent can have access to unlimited number of leads. Somarco, if I am still not contributing I guess I missed what the question is entirely...
