I Need Some Help with Home Insurance

Yes they are on the same parcel.

I already have an additional liability coverage for cover 300K to 1M for all my properites and it cost $300.

Damn I have now wasted 2 weeks of my life on endless pointless paperwork because Tower hill thought they might not make a guaranteed 50% profit on my premium this year. Add to this I now have to get a $10,000 new roof before it is really necessary. I wish I was allowed to say what I really think of pointless Tower Hill. They should not exist. What a waste of people's time and money they are.

Well hey, don't forget you aren't required to get insurance. If you feel all these companies are out to get you, you can of course take on the risk yourself, it is more profitable

DID you really just make this comment?

If he has a loan, and I rest assured you, that it is listed in his loan that he have insurance....

DUMBFOUNDED............:swoon::swoon::swoon:

Well I have no loan and I have thought about dropping some insurance coverage in view of all the problems but so far I am still thinking to stay covered. Here is a reuters article that makes me concerned that I might not even be paid even if I buy insurance!

So I am going to be uninsured for a week or two, again ALL thanks to TOWER HILL INSURANCE. They gave me just TWO weeks notice and so far didnt even return my money!!! Damn I think they suck so bad. I did contact the FL insurance ombudman but I think they must be sleepin..

Double check before writing the Citizens policy. I bet they cancel you too. You can't write 3 separate polices for the same parcel and you can have a maximum of 4 units per DP policy.

If you go more than 45 days without insurance Citizens will put a 30 day wait on the policy.

Don't hold your breathe about the state doing. Everything Tower Hill did was perfectly legal.

Yes I would very much expect to have my money back in my bank account before the end of coverage, that is the absolute least they should do considering how they needed to cancel so badly after three years with the last owner. Are you serious? Are you so used to poor service in FL that you dont know how most of the rest of the world gets treated?

Damn, if this company ran a gas station as well as their insurance service they would put the pump through the driver window, cover you in gas, light a match, toss it in, and then demand that you both pay for the fuel they provided, and demand that you never return because you were on fire in their garage!

Legal aye? I spent $300,000 on a property on the understanding that I would be able to insure it. In which case FL insurance laws suck. Again, who is the best government agency to report this story to?

Moral of the story is if you are considering buying a property in FL ... RUN like hell!
I have been assured citizens would cover me, but the cost is nuts because they arent efficient and the conman insurance companies cherry pick the cream of the crop..

What a bafoon, you sit, must be one of the un-happiest people in the world.

This is what you get for purchasing something without doing YOUR due Diligence and finding out answers to certain things.

You, troll, are now on my ignore list, as you have gotten TONS of FREE help on this site, and still bitch and complain about everything.....

Move to Iraq and see if you like it better over there.

Yes, it is legal. They can cancel the policy in the first 90 days if the risk does not fit their underwriting guidelines or they find any adverse risks on the property. How many different ways do you want me to say it?

And how many ways do you want me to say dont buy in FL, run like hell, because insurers there are basically nuts - and this is the one place where you need quality dependable insurance, not someone who is going to get nervous and cut your throat when you need what you have paid for most. Imagine they had pulled this stunt on me during the Hurricane season!

We need to force them to change, if not for us the customer, then for their own future livelihood and their own real estate market. I have discovered that their terrible service reputation in FL is known throughout the world. They are being paid to provide a reasonable level of service and they are failing in spades.

Oh yeah you also claim I am troll when I am factually reporting my case and my complaint and ways in which they should be made to improve. thanks.

volagent, I cant reply because of the 20 message limit, but I do agree with you.
