Is FE really a lower-income Product?

Sorry Louis,

1. I didn't know that city agents were driving into Rural areas. Must be profitable to do so (i guess). And they compete with Rural Agents (so its competitive in the sticks too).

2. Westfall, Oh...i thought he was face-to-face? I guess he's selling Medisups by phone now.
(not sure if he ever did FE)?

Thank you!

No, Westfall never did sell FE, or at least he never sold one policy with the companies he had under me. He has been doing Medicare Supplements by phone for years now.

Won't be too long before they'll be able to write a script around Rick for the next sequel.

And I hear they are coming out with Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest as the 3rd movie in the Dumb and Dumber line. You would think by the title that it involves 3 people but turns out, it's only 1. Seems there is this guy that is so lonely, he goes around telling other people how to do their job, and he really thinks he knows what he's talking about because he Google's an answer and gets partial information. From the previews it looks pretty comical. Seems like everyone around this guy knows how dumb he is and how dumb he acts, but he doesn't see it himself even though he's told it many times. I mean, this guy really takes the cake.

Of course, this 3rd movie is really stretching it and may not make it in the box office because they made this guy way too dumb. They present the guy as being so dumb that it is way out of line with reality. I mean, no one could possibly be as dumb as this guy.

Takes two to tango...

The problem with selling FE to higher income people is they generally don't respond to the way we sell it (door knocks and cold calls). They like to deal with people they know or someone who knows somebody they know. That's why places like NML and NYL teach referral marketing. Agents who try to do it our way with them end up selling lots of term and they don't pay shit on term!

So, a 53 year old couple that makes a $1,000.00 a week. Own a computer and or a smart phone, and are active on social media. Are Final Expense prospects.

Wait, wait, so if they are FE prospects ....... Then, then, a Life Insurance agent can be a dually licensed agent. Both Life Insurance And FE?!? Where do I upgrade my license? Do I still have to use the * ?

Ok, joking aside, sure seems like there are more baby boomers that are prospects for Insurance intended to pay for final expenses.

What is the picture in your mind for "higher income" levels when you are talking about different approaches for selling FE?

Doesn't spurcity's comment address that in a way?

It seems to me that in order to sell life insurance the salesperson has to show the purchaser some kind of value that means more to them (the purchaser) than keeping their money. So spurcity is saying a life insurance policy with a face of >0 to 50K is a face range where a "burial expense" value or purpose can be effective in causing a prospect to buy. And that can be effective for a person earning 20K or a person earning 80K.

When a person has more income or assets then they can also be presented with other kinds of life insurance that have other purposes.

DHK made a kind of reverse comment about that once-this is not exactly what he said, but in his market, the life insurance policies have premiums that compare to the face amounts of FE policies.
