Is Foresters Doing Away with Their PlanRight FX Plan?

I believe your right! They've made some very odd changes lately that are really odd. They use to be my number one carrier, even went to Fiji last year with them, but they are definitely making some puzzling changes.

I've been contracted with them for over 8 years. Never did like them but the PlanRight did have some use when first introduced. The app changes and the rate increases of last year made them pretty much useless. I've written one Foresters since those changes last July.

Interesting...I have to say that even as a newbie, I have noticed tightening up of underwriting with the planright program levels. Had 3 in the last 2 weeks. 2 of them shot down from level application to graded and modified at the end of the phi and one of them declined all together. I sent them over to other carriers...all 3 were accepted at level coverage. I think they are putting too much emphasis on the RX check as its not always as appears.:nah:

Foresters is a decent company .I have them but very seldom use them. CSA is also a decent Fraternal Co. When I am in a home I always explain the difference between Fraternal and Life Ins. Some agents do not and they should . Their either to ignorant and stupid or want to bang out some commission.

Do fraternals not pay commission?

What do you tell them the difference is?

That is exactly what I was wondering? ?? I explain it is a fraternal but they are not obligated to do anything to be a member. Other than pay their premium

There's a reason why Foresters, Americo, RNA, Oxford and others provide us with RX Guides and knockout lists.....

Issue rates are much better when we use their Rx's on determining which company to place an app with. On questionable situations with an RX, Foresters isn't the best choice even when you do an underwriting assessment - as Aptical will turn down any and all violations of the rules they have been given.

For flexibility I have had success with underwriters from more responsive companies like Royal Neighbors, American Amicable and (yes) Monumental and Americo.
