It's Here to Stay....CBO Bomb

As taxpayers, as consumers, as business owners, and as insurance agents we now know how important it is to have a voice in shaping it.

How much voice did we have in shaping this piece of crap?

Oh wait, we deferred to the carriers and NAHU to fight that battle for us.

Well that certainly turned out well, didn't it?

The assumption that 75% of America will all change insurance plans on January 1st 2014 is absurd.

Actually I believe the number (as a percent of total population) is more like 15 - 20%.

Doesn't matter. DC specializes in the absurd.

there must be an industry I could succeed in, which requires a lot less research and knowledge-base than this!

You could run for Congress. No signs of intelligent life there.

Beam me up Scotty.

They are running away to play in the new game......ours ended in a bench clearing brawl.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune (7/27, Crosby) reports, "UnitedHealth Group Inc. continues to expand its global reach, announcing a new partnership with an Australian insurance company that will provide health coverage to expatriates working in Australia as well as local citizens. The partnership with the Sydney-based insurer, Nib, gives UnitedHealthcare International's existing members access to 500 Australian hospitals and about 60,000 doctors."

Seriously, I'm thinking there must be an industry I could succeed in, which requires a lot less research and knowledge-base than this!

Hi Ann,

Medicare Advantage and Med Supp have been such a boost to my business and it currently accounts for 50% of my gross sales. If your not involved in the Senior Marketplace now is the time! It will be the saving grace of my insurance practice and for that I'm grateful. I love baby boomers!

Best Wishes to you!
