LBL has a nice system for iPad apps. They'll help you buy the iPad, too! For every 10 net policies issued from an iPad app, they'll pay a bonus if $150, up to $600 total, to help reimburse you for buying the toy (I mean tool!

You guys have made some good points about having them. Maybe they do have a niche?
I may take another look at them.
The biggest plus that I found with them, and keep in mind I'm a rookie at this... Easiest app I have ever filled out.

They take bi-polar people too. I ran across a lady that had them. I got her a decline from ForeThought before I figured out she didn't just have depression. Once I knew what we were dealing with, Monumental murdered their rate.

I'm glad that they take DE. Also, they are the only carrier I've found that will allow you to take advanced or earned commissions on a case by case basis, which is helpful on DE cases. I like know I won't have any chargebacks on those cases.
So far my DE clients have proved to be more steady than some "middle class" clients that pay monthly by bank draft. I much prefer writing and dealing with what JD affectionately calls "his people". Salt of the earth, country living, garden growing great people. Sometimes they are hard to catch at home but I find them much more easy to explain things to and like I said, so far they have been more persistent in persistency.
I will concur, they do certainly have their moments!!! They aren't for everyone, but as it was noted the way LBL handles Ipad, convention qualifying (if you are into that some agents aren't), and 80% of my business with them issues in 36 hours... They even have a nice PermaTerm product.
