Life lic. Only

Get both. With the health license, you can also sell stand-alone accidental or disability products. I've sold some return of premium accidental to seniors that want a ton of coverage but can't afford/qualify for regular life insurance.

Get both. You never know what the future may hold for you. Perhaps you may get into cancer policies, critical illness policies, accident policies, hospital indemnity policies, long-term care policies, disability "paycheck protection" policies, business overhead expense policies for businesses, disability buy/sell policies for businesses, etc.

Just get it over and done with.

I've made up my mind. I'm going for it. No, I do not have a lot of excess money for leads but I can squeek by with a couple/few cycles of DM leads once I'm officially lic and ready to go.

1) I'm leaning toward my Life Lic ONLY. Reason being - why do I need a Health lic?

My only consideration would be for MA. BUT HUGE BUT - from the reading I'v done , MA is a gamble.

2) I want to be a FE agent. When choosing an IMO, is it best to pick a Fex Contracting( who is FE ONLY) vs a Dave Duford -who's open to the masses --annuity, mortgage protection etc..

I would think being with sn IMO focused on FE is the wsy to go..

Thoughts?
18 Million beneficiaries have Advantage Plans. Why do you see that as a gamble?

NO one is gonna tick off 18 million Seniors-those folks vote.

And if they do make big changes--time to sell something else.

So not sure your reservation.

Both. I kept a P&C license active for 20 years after my company quit selling any P&C products, just in case I ever need it. I didn't want to have to study for it again.

About 3 years ago we started selling a little renters contents policy. I'm glad I kept the license!

That sounds like my dad... never throw anything away... you never no when you might need it. Do you keep cans of nails, bolts and nut in your garage?

I didn't fall from that tree by the way.

You just described me to a tee. I also have cans of nails, bolts and nuts in the garage. I save things in case I might need it sometime. Trouble is, when I finally need it...I can't find it. :twitchy:

Having one without the other is like putting on one sock... it works, but your other foot will miss it.

Ancillary sales are the reason... can't see that yet so take to heart some of the advice from some of the "Oldie Moldies".

Your gonna do just fine. ;)

Had to clean out my dad's garage a few years ago... found 2 car 8 track players... who knows they still might come back into style.

I had plenty of them. They sounded good when you were out in the country listening to and seeing Purple Haze. They were good in their time, but they were the lowest quality of sound compared to everything that came after them.
