Lincoln Heritage - what is their niche? Are they #1 as they say?

Omaha,

Strong rates, strong brand. E-app w/integrated POS approval. Decent underwriting, and killer throw in child apps.

Yup, and add to that, BIG comp. Phone Interviews are open on weekends so you can "know-before-you-go". Child apps just raised to 50K. I personally like to write 10 pays on children if it all possible but I will write them w/ Mutual of Omaha as well.

MOO is an easy company to write and does have really good comp, but as with all companies, they have some cons.

If you sell Medicare Supplements, they will market to your clients heavily for that.

They only let the IMO pick to have policies mailed to the client or to the agent. The IMO has to pick one of those options and then it is that way for all of their agents. (No way to please all agents with this setup)

If you write MOO smokers, their GI plan is cheaper and they will send offer letters for that out to your clients. I have seen instances that my agents write MOO and then get replaced BY MOO!

They are extremely hard for a client to get on the phone if needed. I know everyone says "I am their agent, they can call me!" The problem with that statement is that most agents on here read too much and listen to everyone. This means those agents are walking around with 100 companies, and trying to just be the absolute cheapest no matter what, so most of them will be out of business soon and their clients will be stuck calling MOO instead of them.

If you fill out the marketing opt out form that comes with the policy then Omaha is not supposed to solicit your client after you sold them.
