Google's pay per click is also a scam - they just are more sophisticated about it.

I agree that Google PPC is also theft in disguise.... Do you think someone would just click the PPC just to put money in their bank account? hmmmmm....

I had a friend approach me with this today. At first it looked like a pretty good deal. But of course I wanted to check here first since this is usually a good place to get the good, the bad and the ugly on companies, products, and scams. After reading here I also did a google search using the key word "local ad link scam" which showed a ton of bad info. Some of the articles talked about how they just use your money and then buy google pay per clicks anyway. Of course they don't guarantee you will place. So I looked up the cost per click on things most of us would be interested in to place on the top 3 in google. I used terms like life insurance, term life insurance, life insurance quotes, health insurance, affordable health insurance, health insurance quotes, etc. Typical life insurance pay per click keywords are in the $14 to $21 range. Health insurance was in the $11 to $16 range. So I'm thinking to myself there is no way Local Ad Link is going to fork out that kind of money for me to get hits on my web site. The other thing is their Google ad they place doesn't take you to your web site through them. It takes the searcher to the Local Ad Link site with your ad on that. While it looked good at first it appears just to be a middle man in between you and Google or the other search engines. An insurance related ad will probably never show up at all. So the only way you would be seen is if one of the clients in the zip code you selected went to the Local Ad Link web site and clicked on your ad from there. But what do most people do? They do a Google search, or a Google maps search or something like that. Google pay per click may not be the best either at $11 to $21 a click. You're competition could find your ad and click on it until you run out of money. But at least your ad would show up on Google and you only pay once someone clicks. With Local Ad Link I seriously doubt any insurance ad would show up. Anyway thanks for those of you who posted. You've saved me some money.

Update: Ok check this out. I was able to go to Google and place my own local business listing for free. I guess they have some paid options, but under the free one if someone goes to Maps Google and types in life insurance and near my zip code my free listing pops up. It looks like you can do everything for free that Local Ad Link was going to charge you for.

If you go to Google or Maps Google and type in any of the 5 following terms with my zip code I come up on top of the search engines"

life insurance 24153

health insurance 24153

dental insurance 24153

term life insurance 24153

insurance quotes 24153

All of this for free right on Google.
